New Skill Types Blood curses and blood boons.
ok i have had this idea for a while, just never really felt like posting it *i did add it to one of my ccs but that died hard.*
ok we currently have maintainable enchants that give you energy degen, well why cant we have some necro skills that give health degen?
now obviously blood boons work just like maintained enchants except that they use health instead of energy, but they are still treated as enchantments and can still be canceled, and have no time limit. and unlike maintained enchants the cost is not always -1 degen, it can be -2 -3 and even -4.
here are some blood boon ideas
Blood soul
5e, 2 sec cast, -3 health degen
target other ally gains 2 energy regen while you maintain this skill.
shared pain
10e, 2 sec cast, -1 health degen
soul reaping
target other ally takes 15...50% the damage you take while you maintain this, if this would drop that allies health below 90...50% this skill ends.
blood funnel
5e, 2 sec cast, -4 degen
blood magic
target other ally gains 1...3 health regen.
now blood curses are very different, they work like blood boons, except they are maintained on enemies. they work just like hexs and can be removed like hexs.
here are some examples
vampiric control
10e, 2 sec cast -2 health degen
whenever target foe hits with an attack that attack is reduced by 2...5 and you steal that much health from that target.
grasp of the underworld*elite*
10e, 3 sec cast, -4 health degen
while you maintain this target foe moves 90% slower and cannot be the target of enemy or allied spells. while you maintain this you gain 80% less benefit from healing, and move 90% slower.
well what do you guys think?

are you saying the necro dont have skills that puts foe on a hp degen ? Life syphon and life transfer, those 2 alone can pack -13 degen.
in blood, I dont understand why they put more in the curses side, than in blood, if it affects blood, it should be in the blood line, my thoughts anyway.
curses side you have
currupt enchant -1 -7 degen
faintheart 1-3
suffering -2
Ulcerus lungs -4
well of silence 1-3
death
well of suffering 1-5
SR
reapers mark ( a favorite ) 1-4
yeah got skills, just dont like the , what messmer having more that deal with blood issues.
nightmare and phantasam coem to mind, what like -8 degen ?? just say 20-30 hp per second, not degen, or loss of blood basicly hehe

He means an enchant that put a degen on YOU and NOT your target.
Love the idea! Only problem I see is if you stack enough of them and keep you alive through real healing. You're basically imune to degen. And i'd probably make the cost highter than what you. (note that I am in no way a dev)
Solution : cancel the degen cap (which would make degen team incredibly powerful. I calculated that a mesmer team of 2-3 mesmer could stack up to something like 30 degen. Forgot what I took to say this however).
Or change the degen for real damages.
Love the idea.
