I came across these pictures and thought they would make cool armor for Guild Wars. What do you think of them? Would they suit Guild Wars?

I don't think the nazi armor and Tira's aromr would suit GW.

Well...
#1: Definitely Elementalist, without the mask, of course.
#2: Needless to say: Assassin.
#3: A nice Warrior pic... but it somehow lacks armor...
#4: Maybe a bit too evil looking for our characters, they are Heroes. Do-gooders.
#5: Every single Female Ranger would simply love wearing that.
#6: Oh... this actually fits one prefession: Male elementalists.

But they seem to have copyright and such.

Well they don't have to be used exactly, if they are modified slightly but still look like they do on the pics then this would be great. Is it possible to send Anet some ideas for new armor?

Not if they do not make a contest for that or you work for them.
Making them similar won't work.

If they are too alike, they make break copyrights anyways.

They can't use art from other games, that's theft of intellectual property and violation of copyrights. I think A.net can get enough talented artists to draw them new armors when they want to.

I see what you mean about copyright but really, the company who owns the armor would have to prove it was copied. Copyright is easily avoided because there are lots of similar things in the world which don't breach copyright laws.

What about the armor GW already has? I am sure I can find several computer games which have similar armor to that of GW.

Keneth is right, Anet can find talented enough artists. I would just think it was cool if the armors I posted would be considered for some new ideas.

Yeah, except those images are really, really obviously the intellectual property of other companies. I don't even play Soul Caliber and I instantly recognized the design on second-from-the-bottom.

Similar armor's one thing -- in any average fantasy game you're gonna find plenty of decorated breastplates and spiky gauntlets -- but your first post makes it look like you're suggesting wholesale rips from other popular games. As noted, if people make non-copyrighted suggestions and ANet thinks the game needs more armor designs (IMO, it does, ele males DESPERATELY need an overhaul), they'll hopefully get some designers on board and add some.

I wasn't planning to show armor for every profession, I didn't even give the pictures a profession. I just knew I liked the armor ad I wanted peoples opinions.

Well my post was really to ask for peoples opinion and to see if they were suitable for GW. I wasn't expecting them to actually be implemented into the game or copied, just ideas taking from them.

There's really no point in suggesting new armor for GW1 at this point, is there? EOTN is the last for this game, then we wait for GW2. And who knows what the armor system will be in that.

and every single ranger female wearing that? dunno what kinda style you're into... that looks like a drag queens worst nightmare, its hideous.
