Request for increase in Pre-Greens
I am working on the Defender of Ascalon title. I have a friend who just gave up trying to do it with his ranger. The problem is death leveling. Death leveling cannot be avoided for this title. There is no way to continue working on it after 16th level without death leveling. I have had trouble working on the title because of GW: EN and GW 2. Due to the speed of death leveling and leveling in general in Pre, I do not expect to see the title before the game can no longer be played. (Yes, slight exageration, but the same sentiment.)
Others have used vampiric weapons to death level in pre. Those do not appear to be available anymore due to the changes in loot. I am suspecting, changes based on loot scaling. I would like to see the following as drops from the Charr Bosses, or like Charr Bags.
Vampiric Axe (R: 0) Dmg 2-3, Vamp 1/-3
Vampiric Hammer (R: 0) Dmg 3-5, Vamp 1/-3
Vampiric Sword (R: 0) Dmg 2-3, Vamp 1/-3
Vampiric Bow (R: 0) Dmg 3-5, Vamp 1/-3
Vampiric Wand (R: 0) Chaos Dmg 3-5, Vamp 1/-3
I death leveled a pet once. From 5th to 17th took 6 hours. To level a spider or bird to where one can get 280 exp from it is going to take as long or longer. And as one gets closer to the top end, the 280 will not be available. Without looking at the leveling before 16 where the Charr bosses cease to help, one has 57,600 exp to get. If one only kills 20th level spiders and gets the max experience then going from 16th to 17th should take about 66 kills. At 8 hours a piece to get them to 20th level that seriously ties up one's computer. If you only do it at night (while asleep and your computer is not used for anything else) then you are looking at over 2 months for one level.
With the Vampiric Weapon available it would cut down time in leveling the monsters so that one might be able to work on the title at a reasonable rate.
