Add info for Stored/Shared Bars
I hope this wasn't posted already... If so, I'm really sorry, but the search engine just wouldn't cooperrate with me and wouldn't show me any results.
Anyways,
I was thinking, since they added the ability to save, load, share skill bars and attribute allocations, players have been sharing bars with each other.
Now, players do this quite often in the pvp aspects of the game. (HA, GvG, AB, RA, TA).
The thing is, players can share builds and give each other builds, but that doesn't mean that the other player that is receiving the build can run it, there is a chance that the player doesn't have certain skills unlocked for that bar.
My suggestion, is that I think that there should be a feature in the game, so that if a player pulls up the template code or the bar itself, while they are looking at it, there could be a red 'x' placed above whichever skill that the current player (The one looking at the bar) does not have unlocked.
This will make it easier for players to determine what skills they will need to run each bar, rather than having to load the bar and see what skills are missing, then go and locate them.
Guild Wars could go even farther by turning the " x's " into links to their Wiki site so that players can click on the 'x' and it will take them to the skill's info page to learn where they can track down this missing skill.
Like I said, I'm not sure if this was suggested already, but I do apologize if it was.
Thanks for your time,
Tgod
Edit: You do genofreek. But, let's say a guildie sends a bar through guild chat to members. Example being a Rit Bar. If you have a warrior primary when you click on it, you can't load the bar up. You can only save it, and wait for a Rit primary char to load the bar. This way, you will know right away (When you click on it) which of the skills you don't have unlocked for your account.
