Increased rewards for harder maps definitely makes sense.
The leeching problem is harder to solve. I suggested a faction score tied to the individual's "performance" or contributions in the other ab issue thread. This would be harder for anet to justify the resources to implement since this "performance" needs to take into account many things. But it will reward more points depending on that individual's effort/skill.
off topic,
I actually stumbled into a pickup group not too long ago with the OP. He was sin/p. Great minimap calls!

Base yourself on facts!, I'm luxon and I have no trouble getting into battles. What makes more sense, ANet saying that there can be unlimited amount of battles, supported by the fact that during the weekend event all regional districts had no waiting times. This makes it plausible that luxons are the limiting factor. Or it makes sense to you that your hypothesis (or the one fueled by others) that there can only be three battles at any given time is right, which would be in conflict with the observations during the weekend event.

There was also a Suggestion from an ab'er for leechers,that if they do not move for a few minutes they are classified as leecher and kicked, but I am not sure if that is really effective, because if theres bots they may follow players and do absoloutely nothing; but then again im not sure if people bots in ab..but i had two annoying person from another team follow me and not do jack sh..

I like the OPs suggestions and will sign on it although I don't AB often due to the fact that MANY MANY TIMES the wait was rediculous, and, i kid you not that on a few occasions the wait was 30 minutes or more(explain that) and people just started giving up causing leader of group to get another to join so timer would start up and make us wait again. If that issue alone were fixed/solved I would AB more.

hmm..so im guessing what they are saying if luxons win on grenz, you get 1500+500 =2000 for a win.
Luxons win on Kanaai;1500+500(x2)=2500 faction points?
I havnt ab yet after updating just now, net is lagging, but This may increase rewards for a lost also, if the losing team does well in gaining points. I'll try ab soon see how this goes, but it is a good change hopefully more experience ab'ers will come flooding in =)
I sure hope this amount for winning would be sufficient enough for more players to ab, (my reward was luxons win on Ancestral Landsl = 4500 in total for a win <1500x3>) was I too greedy?
Alliance Battles
To better reward players for participating in Alliance Battles even when in enemy territory, we have introduced a new "Underdog Bonus."
* In the Luxon defense map, Kaanai Canyon, Kurzick players will receive Kurzick faction points equal to twice their score.
* In the Luxon defense map, Etnaran Keys, Kurzick players will receive Kurzick faction points equal to their score.
* In the middle map, Saltspray Beach, neither Kurzick nor Luxon players will receive a bonus.
* In the Kurzick defense map, Grenz Frontier, Luxon players will receive Luxon faction points equal to their score.
* In the Kurzick defense map, The Ancestral Lands, Luxon players will receive Luxon faction points equal to twice their score.

1500 x 2 on Canyon etc. I think not sure.
I hope you ment when Kurzicks win on Canyon they get 4500 faction.
But besides that it really nice to see that Anet does like to lissen and make some changes. The petition on the storage and Faction dude worked also. ^^

Not on amount of faction earned but on the score, which is slightly above 500 on a typical win. u will get 500 and 100 more on semi deep and deep hostile battle fields. so 2000 and 2500 faction.

I see the faction reward guy is in the area now, great move ANet.

I've just thought about another ways to kick leechers, afk'er in a more fair way.
Most video games have it implemented.
Your Team has a Vote command, prob like "/votekick <username>.
But you can only vote kick your team only and not allies, and it should be a 50% majoriity of vote execute a kick on target member. 2 keys can be used for "Yes" or "No".
I believe this will give a "sure" factor of who your kicking.
And I still believe those that are kicked should be forbid to return in ab for a amount of minute, and leavers. If it is implemented I think they'll think twice about leaving to join another quick ab, if they leave for personal matters, the temporaily ban will not affect them either way, since they are on personal matters.

thx rugsak, hmm I've think I ab with someone from POD before in international dis..but i could be wrong,
Well Im not sure how effective the rewards are right now, either most ab'ers dont know the new reward changes and there is still leavers. Anet needs to implement a leaver/Leacher solution soon.. if they were temporaily permitted from entering ab grounds for 3 minutes then..

but i disagree its good the way it is, just make it a 12 man team instead of 4-4-4
that way its morefarmable and stuff gets to be more fun more conpetitive for faction
