heroes to be able to hold "items"
just wondering this would make life so much easier for rangers, paras and all melee profs if heroes could hold items such as tablets (jokanur diggings) melandrus offerings (d'allesio seaboard)
this would make life a lot easier for those who require melee to atk. rather then continuely drop the item and in some cases have it break (melandrus offering) for instance heroes could pick up / hold the item in their arms for you....
what do you think??
all thoughts welcome?

As long as :
- For a hero to pick up an item the owner would use the flag command and click on the objet to interact with.
- If the "owner" of the hero in a multi-human party leaves, the hero in question automatically drops the item.
- The "drop" button is displayed on the "owners" screen works for the heroes as well.
- Default hero behaviour is set to "Avoid all Combat" by default when holding an item, and resets to "Last known aggression setting" when item is droped.

Already suggested!
But true.
- If you look at their panels, they already have a 'drop item' button for Item spells.
- Giving them bundles would be as easy as double clicking on them while carrying it.
- This feature could also allow players to give away bundles. For example, the offering for melandu, the scepter of orr, the Urn of Saint Viktor or the Archemorus spear, without dropping them.
- They could even have a 'pick' button that appears if you select a bundle.
Of course, giving away item spell bundles would be impossible.

/signed so hard I can barely see straight. I always end up calling on a guildie or hoping my PUG knows what it's doing when I play as my derv, and I hate that.

/signed. I was playing some prophecies missions the other day it was like holy cow.
I especially like that "click on the flag, then click on the item" idea. Simple and clean.
Since Hero already have a dedicated drop-item icon, that releasing part is already covered.
And I won't mind having to manually click the "avoid combat" and back. All things considered, that part is easy enough.
