How about handsome Heroes?!
I'd like to request to Anet to make, you know, attractive male Heroes. The vast majority of the female Heroes in the game are very attractive, generally speaking. However, the vast majority of the male heroes are very unattractive or just plain ridiculous. It's nice that there are a few, but for example if you look at the Eye of the North additions, there are already few enough male characters, and fewer still that are even remotely attractive. It's kind of ridiculous when you look even at the original henchmen in Prophecies and you'll see that all of the female ones are generally stunningly beautiful. At least there though, we got plenty of handsome or pretty guys as well, though still not as many proportionally as the females. It seems there's a distinct discrepancy in the followers though, such as the horrific Olias (could they not have gone for someone like Verata instead?) and the various overall completely unexceptional Eye of the North additions, so far at least.
I hope that someone at Anet might cast an eye this way. It would be nice to be able to have a handsome Kurzick fellow with you, or another pretty Mesmer like Dunham.

Thanks, but you really obviously didn't read my suggestion at all. There are still a vast number of players who are either not heterosexual men (and please don't assume that all men are either heterosexual or want to see scantily-clad women all the time), or are women. To stiff us is not a particularly good policy, as Blizzard have found out to some extent themselves. In any case, please read my post before replying as I feel my points are quite valid, and I would like Anet to consider widening their appeal rather than disregarding such a large portion of their dedicated playerbase.

You don't like Norgu's belly?
Seriously though, I don't see why not.
There are pretty girls after all.

I doubt Anet's gonna hear the pleas of GW's small female population, but I can get behind this. Most of the lady heros/hench are lovely, while I can think of two males offhand that I actually enjoy looking at.

Sousuke is pretty good. We need more of these "normal" looking cool characters.
Who really want to keep having weird looking Centaurs, Azuras, Charrs, Dwarfs, Tengus, Wallows, Golems ... aside from avoiding diseases spreading back or eoe.
EDIT: I wonder how many people will still bring Norgu after they unlock Gwen... poor guy.

Gay men are probably .001% or less of the Guild Wars fan base, and woman are I'd say around 1-5% of all Guild Wars players. I read your post and I have nothing against your suggestions, contrary to your beliefs, I'm just stating a fact. If female gamers want hotter heroes thats fine.

You dissing norgu?
What about pimpmaster mhenlo? He's got his own harem? Ah, and good old rurik. Being a prince gives you like +100 to charisma don't it?
And master togo? That shiny dome
Besides, aside from jora and herta, not really many other female heroes or henchs can be called dead gorgeous. They're not ugly, but hardly super model.

I agree wholeheartedly, as one of the many gay players of GW. Some more handsome male heroes that are actually useful would be a nice thing to have. For example, Goren may be hot but why take a second warrior hero when you can take a mesmer hero (that needs to lose a few pounds) instead?

Honestly B E A S T, I have no idea where you're pulling these figures from. But I might also point out that there are several studies extant that have shown that a lot of those outside the teenaged male population are the ones that will get into a game and stick with it far longer than most anyone else. Appealing to the teen-sexhound-guys to the exclusion of everyone else is not generally speaking a particularly good approach. It might get you temporary benefit, but that will not last as long as appealing to a wider audience.
I might also add that stiffing any of your audience is generally poor business practice, especially when you're dealing with a persistent online world that is supported by those same people.
Personally I like Norgu, but why aren't we seeing any full-figured ladies? It's like they have to make all the female characters super-hot, yet they feel free to give the male ones paunches, disfigurements, etc. Just a cursory glance at the difference between face choices for male and female Necromancers in the Nightfall chargen is enough to demonstrate one of the most notable instances of double-standard that exists in the game.
Sousuke is great...Zhed is quite a handsome non-human character...Mhenlo is incredibly hot...Dunham is pulse-racingly dishy...Morgahn is a devastatingly handsome older man...but there are so many more male tagalongs who are just awful, especially compared to the bevy of females who are drop-dead gorgeous. Jora and Herta the only ones? Hardly. Look at Melonni, Jin, Devona, Cynn, Danika...fabulous, gorgeous women, not a single one with any real physical flaw or deviation. They're great characters, given, but why is it that there's such a gulf between male and female characters?
I'm not saying that the male ones have to be supermodels, or that the female ones necessarily are. But the female ones are always at least attractive, or generally without flaws, unlike the male selection.
Just my two cents. And Koss isn't bad-looking, but he is...very obnoxious. Very, very obnoxious. Yet somehow lovable.

You talk like all heterosexual guys are sex-driven perverts. Thats a very biased statement. I dont think any of the GW females are "hot" or "look good". They are pixels. PIXELS! Okay? If you want to look at good looking men, or pretty women, Guild Wars is NOT the place to look. Honestly, this thread has reached an all time low in the forums.

I'm a male player and most of the characters I have are female. NOT because of the whole backside deal, but do to armor. I liked the female armor more. Now my first character (still have) is a male Warrior. He's handsome, but he was it. I tried all the other classes under male and it was horrifying, and got worse with each campaign. So I agree, let's have a better looking group of male heros/henchies.
And personally, Norgu looks like he needs to visit Jenny Craig!
