Actually I rather wear a barrel then any of the stuff currently around.

Hey, it's nightfall and thus an arabian theme. Why can't we wear burkas?

Careful, your ignorance is showing.

There are modest armors for every class and no, they're not all high end armors either. Please check Wiki's armor section for pictures and proof.

Modest female paragon armor please. I can't find any.

Elementalist is having a hard time too although there are two or three. I pity those without Factions though.

I'd just like to say about the gladiator armor you mentioned, I think it's supposed to be that skimpy since the male version is almost exactly the same.

Anyway, I don't think you're going to be in much luck when Eye of the North comes out either since from the only Paragon set shown so far it looks like the same deal.

Armor doesn't always have to be practical. Look at 300. Their armor was the complete opposite...

Ah, that's why they sell warrior Gladiator armor in Marhan's Grotto, which is the coldest town in the world, with a floor of ice.

And Reality: "Herodotus says that the units for each state were kept together.[27] The Persians, armed with arrows and short spears, could not break through the long spears of the Greek phalanx, nor were their lightly armored men a match for the superior armor, weaponry, and strategy of the Greek hoplites. Just wait for Eye of the North. Then you will see new armours, and maybe the one you wished.

Oh I see.

So, what do you define as modest then? Wide fitting garment from head to toe which doesnt show any exposed skin?

...because they are using their shield and dodging/moving to survive. In this game, however, sooner or later you will get direct hit in the body, so it would be nice to have plated char for some realism, not a half naked barbie who will only scream: Ouch! and continue to fight like nothing happened.

I'm not going to see that movie, based on the reviews it's just a testosteron fest and I don't like those things. The Greeks actually wore metal or leather breastplates during those times. They are hoplites, derrived from the word hoplon, which means armor. If they did not wear a breastplate, they were ekdromoi, light infantry, literally meaning outrunners. These did not fight in phalanx formation but were skirmishers, which would have been overrun easily at Thermopylae. So the Greek actually DID wear practical armor. The idea of them not wearing a breastplate comes from the 19th century painting by Jacques-Louis David, in which king Leonidas and his Spartans can be seen not wearing anything at all save for a helm and small red cloak.

Okay, I'll try to put this the right way:

No-one really cares, pay attention to the game not to the armour. Or stop complaining here and play another character or make a male paragon.
Problem solved, less of GWGuru's bandwidth wasted.
