The minute I saw how the new system was going to work, I said to myself, "self, Europe is going to be so pissed about this, I wonder how long it will take them to start crying about it." It was just about 12 hours later.

Yeah, makes perfect sense, especially when you look at the lore of the gods in GW.

you get the idea. Since the system now completely fits with the interests of the gods it makes total sense that this would be the basis on how they grant favor. It's not like the gods favor war and death or anything.

if you want equal access just remove the favour system... yeah itrs supposed to be an elite area but sos urgoz and the deep you dont need kurzick or luxon favour to get them you just turn up... this new system is well...poo! bring back the Hall of Heroes! i dont even do PvP and i dont like this, nor do i even go to UW or FoW much and i really think this is a bad idea.

either change it back, change it so its summin that makes sense or just remove it from the game completely.

And it won't have any effect on Heroe's Ascent whatsoever - it will still function the same just as it always has.

It's been out for a day. It's too early to judge. In the long run, yes, it might end up coming to and end as titles stop being grinded. But surely we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

and you missed all those posts over the last years from pvp people bitterly complaining that they cant be in 2 places at once.

earning favor or getting access reward for favor.

now everybody gets the benefit of people getting titles they would have anyway even without the favor

even OMG all those people who have already maxed a bunch of titles before this was announced.

no extra grind morons the titles were being worked on anyway and if it were changed back??????????.................

they would still do exactly the same title grind because they want the title not as a gaming civic duty

The amount of people that HA'd for favor you could probably count on one finger.

I knew of no one in 2+ years of playing that ever HA'd for favor.

Bryant, you're basically saying that the people who did do HA for more than just fame, are insignificant and don't matter. You're wrong. You can't just forget a group of people and say their insignificant.

And you don't know whether or not it will function exactly how it is now, that is strictly your opinion.

I'd rather shut out those very few people who play HA for favor and make it possible for the Taiwan, Japan and Korea territories to finally be able to experience FoW and UW.

You're taking what I said out of context. Indeed, suger toothe, and drunken titles qualify for favour now. So does protector/guardian, map exploration, and vanquishing zones. Indeed, some titles are farmable, but some also require skill. What I meant by what I said, which, it seems, everyone but you understood, is that an elite PvE zone is now governed by acomplishments in PvE. NOT by accomplishments by PvP.

we'll see how this develop the following days. but considering that many many ppl are afking the 9 rings or playing the dragon arena at the moment, i foresee that a.net will tweak this new favor system. 1 title = 2 minutes. we're not supposed to have favor 24/7 are we?

Oh lord, after 2 years of whining (from one side or another) about favor being tied to PvP Anet changes it and lo and behold, the whining starts again but now to change it back....

When I started playing Europe almost never had favor, then EU became the dominant region and the US faced the problem as do the other regions such as Korea, China etc.
Now everyone can have favor and ofcourse, this is also met with pages of complaints.

I'm willing to bet if they abolished favor altogether this would also be met with page after page of complaints, if I was Anet I'd stop listening to you people altogether and just proceed as I (the designer of the game) think its best because no matter what they do or dont do the whining is incessant anyway.

I'm not overestimating, I know darn right the number is very small, but to say that it won't effect it what-so-ever is ignorant, we have to wait and see. And like I also said, maybe not on this specific post but another, they could have done this a much better way than the way they did IMO, so the other countries had a chance. Not completely get rid of favor.

Yes, we'll have to wait and see. But I firmly, strongly believe that it won't change. As long as there are /rank emotes, HA will be crowded.
