Should non-pvp titles be easier to aquire
Since the HoM seems to be per char, perhaps Anet should consider making it easier to get the pve titles by reducing the grind it takes to get the max title for most char based titles.
For example the max for each of these skills could become:
Survivor: 133,700 exp
Drunkard: 1,000 minutes
Treasure hunter: 1,000 chests
Wisdom: 1,000 ids
Sweet Tooth: 1,000 points
Sunspear: 5,000
LB: 5,000
Cartographer: can get 100% without edge mapping
Friend of the kurz/lux: 1,000,000 points

Drunkard: 1,000 minutes can be obtained with 9 pve chars at that redux event, by doign the 4 quests each one easily
Treasure hunter: 1,000 chests could be done in around a week a an ok pace, with the money
Wisdom: 1,000 ids too easily obtained
Sweet Tooth: 1,000 points can be obtained with 9 pve chars at that redux event, by doign the 4 quests each one easily
Sunspear: 5,000 Could be done in an hour if you put a nice boit of effort in
LB: 5,000 Could take around 2-3 hours
Cartographer: can get 100% without edge mapping [ theres already a 2% leway[/b]

its pretty low,by dontaing to a allience you only need to donate 500,k faction whcih could be fff fast enough i would imagine a week or 2 maybe? unsure somone could answer this
Basically you made titles that seemed to take time and effort and brought the max down to around 10% of current max.
while lowering max rank you alsop logher the achiement in the title.
making it just titles to max and make thme have no longer appeal, as in now if i saw max wisdom,i think its nice, at your rank i would think meh,
i would like ot see wisdom and treasure hunter accoutn wide tho.

The ones in bold. No!
The ones not in bold, yes!
Survivor = That's not even level 20.
SS + LB = 5k would make it a giveaway title.
For the other titles like Kurzick and Luxon, the max is just ridiculously high.

LB can be done in an hour or two? I thought the most you could get is 4 points per kill in HM.
Talach, most people with all campaigns should have between 8-10 chars depending on any char slots they bought. I figured if you had 10 chars, make each one require 1/10th of the normal amount so you'd put in the same amount of effort account-wide.

I fully agree to change. Most if not all of the standards are solely for those who won’t play more than a couple of classes, and have no intention of covering the full PvE potential. Those of us who do have 10 characters, or more, know that by the time GW 2 comes out we will not have accomplished everything with all 10. We will not have a chance to accomplish everything with all 10. The points have been set so high that it is not possible.
In much the same way that one needs several armors for several builds. The game was structured for us to flexibly altar the character at any moment according to need, but no one armor configuration fits all possible builds. So, you have to have more than one armor per character, or remain limited. The same kind of limitations were placed on us with titles, the points were put at unreasonably high levels to make it a challenge for those who won’t bother with a full account (exploring all classes fully) or who choose to limit their experience and not seek the titles. But there is another category of persons who will not get titles or rewards, the person who cannot in a reasonable amount of time attain those titles.
I do not accept the argument of, “well if it isn’t so hard to get it doesn’t mean anything.” The titles are a fictitious representation of an alter-ego for entertainment. Being denied a reasonable access to them simply because one was not born with perfect genetics for hand eye coordination and reflexes, or has to work for home and family, is not acceptable.
I do not have to work, spend way too many hours in game, and find the accessibility to achieve too restricted and too slow. A perfect example of restriction: I have 99.7% of Cantha mapped. I don’t want to cheat at Eredon Terrace to get that 0.3% covered. I want it done right. During first Dragon Festival I went into the Boardwalk and mapped. Two gates were locked and I was denied access to the second loop of the tutorial area. That just happens to be a part of the map that contains 0.8%. I have scraped all of the rest of Cantha, and even managed to accidently pop in on an impromptu mapping/competition at Jade Quarry or would still be minus that 0.5%. In the case of mapping, titles are deliberately with held in this manner.
As to the proposed title changes:
It is not unreasable to assign several survivor titles. If one makes it to level 10 without dying a single time, that is actually an accomplishment. One could have Survivor track set up like this:
10th – Tough Dude(tte)
15th – Survivor
20th – Indomitable Survivor
20th +5 – Legendary Survivor
Drunkard: 1,000 minutes
100 min. - Drunkard
300 min. - Souse
1,000 min. – Incorigible Ale Hound
Treasure hunter: 1,000 chests; making:
10 High-end Chests = Rank 1/Treasure Hunter: Salvage Bonus 3%, Lockpick Bonus 3%
25 High-end Chests = Rank 2/Adept Treasure Hunter: Salvage Bonus 6%, Lockpick Bonus 6%
55 High-end Chests = Rank 3/Advanced Treasure Hunter: Salvage Bonus 9%, Lockpick Bonus 9%
120 High-end Chests = Rank 4/Expert Treasure Hunter: Salvage Bonus 12%, Lockpick Bonus 12%
250 High-end Chests = Rank 5/Elite Treasure Hunter: Salvage Bonus 15%, Lockpick Bonus 15%
500 High-end Chests = Rank 6/Master Treasure Hunter: Salvage Bonus 18%, Lockpick Bonus 18%
1,000 High-end Chests = Rank 7/Grandmaster Treasure Hunter: Salvage Bonus 21%, Lockpick Bonus 21%
This change might actually make buying lock-picks worth while. As it is, since what is in chests has 99% of my attempts been garbage for the merchant to get rid of, I don’t bother buying keys and lock-picks. Spending 1,500 g for something that is going to break every time, while fetching a purple or gold worth 100 – 300g is not functional for the player.
Wisdom: 1,000 ids
10 High-end Chests = Rank 1/Seeker of Wisdom: Salvage Bonus 3%
25 High-end Chests = Rank 2/Collector of Wisdom: Salvage Bonus 6%
55 High-end Chests = Rank 3/Devotee of Wisdom: Salvage Bonus 9%
120 High-end Chests = Rank 4/Devourer of Wisdom: Salvage Bonus 12%
250 High-end Chests = Rank 5/Font of Wisdom: Salvage Bonus 15%
500 High-end Chests = Rank 6/Oracle of Wisdom: Salvage Bonus 18%
1,000 High-end Chests = Rank 7/Source of Wisdom: Salvage Bonus 21%
Same as for Treasure Hunter line, the cost of getting it as is (6,000 plat) is outrageous. The only way I see a full fledged player with 10 characters getting these two titles is with e-bay gold.
Sweet Tooth: 1,000 points
This would bring the grind down to 3,000 mandragor roots instead of the current 30,000. The first is reasonable, the second is only for children being babysat by their computer.
Sunspear: 5,000 and LB: 5,000
I wouldn’t make it that low. But by the time a character has hit the second to the last mission they should be, without farming, Rank 9 Spearmarshal and Rank 6 Vanquishing Lightbringer. There remains no reason to stop people from being able to pick up bounties when in an area. I had Rank 8 in Sunspear and could no longer obtain bounties someplace back around Arkjok Ward with forays headed past Dejarin Estates. Yes, I farmed some. Given that there are 50,000 points for maxing title, and skill effectiveness, we can only assume we were not meant to actually use the skills effectively or maybe even at all. The same is true of Lightbringer. Once I no longer had Margonites to fight, there was no reason to keep the skill up. My last battle was done one straight regular skills, with the LB on for my bonus 15% damage – if it still works there.
Cartographer: can get 100% without edge mapping
I don’t mind scraping, but I know a lot of people who do. The requisites for this are again outrageous. This would be less the case if the game informed us how much we have left to do in an area by showing it on the map.
Friend of the kurz/lux: 1,000,000 points! Definitely, and keep it account wide. I have finished the campaign and all quests in Cantha, and only barely got Luxon supporter. I still need about 32k or so to get Kurzick supporter. (And I am Kurzick aligned, lol.) It would be reasonable for each of 10 characters to raise 100,000 points while adventuring. It is not reasonable for them to have to raise 1,000,000 each (or 200,000 kills per faction per character).
