Random Arenas
You shouldn't be allowed to leave a game once you enter a game in the random arenas. Too many people leave the games if they are about to die, or get stuck with a team that probably won't do well. It's annoying, and messes up the gameplay. If a player gets on a good team and wants to leave, he should be given an option at the end of the match during the time when you're going into your next match. That way the team will be able to get another player, and if someone has to log off for real reasons, they can do so.

Did you not read the end of my post? At the end of a match (matches last 1-3 minutes usually), he would have an option to leave. That way, if someone does have some legit thing to do, they can leave. What's so hard about waiting a minute? If it was something so important I doubt a person would log, they'd probably just jump off there computer and leave, not caring about what's going on the computer.

Yeah you shouldn't be able to leave until there is a resault
Of course they could always just exit the game and log in again.
Maybe they should lose faction for quitting

Well, since they cant leave they'll stay and go afk. if your team wins, they get the faction. Also, they can easily just close GW. This isnt stopping anything.

Some things cannot wait a minute, and people can always go afk if they have important things to do (or just don't want to play) and can't leave. Plus, going afk ('jumping off') is just as bad as leaving outright.
People should be allowed to do what they want, and leave when they want - and not be forced to play ('cause being forced to do something is real fun, right?). It's annoying sure, but there are other probable methods of resolution aside from this without irritating those with legitimate reasons for quitting.

Well no, I suggest this:
-When you leave before 5-7 minutes of the game (of course you can leave if there is only 1 person alive from the other team that is running in circles with 4 run skills), you cannot join for another 4 minutes again, neither on RA or TA.
Reason for leaving - rage quitting. So 4 minutes will give a little cooldown. If you get dropped you will still need around 2-3 mins to login to the same place, and if you Quit by leaving the game...well...noone can force the leavers to leave if they really want to.

Point taken, slightly. I wouldn't say they're being forced, when they hit the enter mission button. If you know of a better option, please post it.

That's right...
All I know is I hope something can be done about it. After I had made this post I logged onto GW and seen it happen 8 times. I only played 15 or so matches. I'm still confused about when this started happening so much. It seems to have doubled in the past month. Random arenas are f'd if shit keeps up at this rate.

Cool down time, I like the idea but i can still see it getting anoying to legit players with 007 error for eg. but i think 4 minutes is enough for most to handle. good idea. Maybe have an inactivity sensor for afk/botters?

If they have something urgent, let's say a GvG..let them leave....they don't mind a cooldown of a couple of minutes.
Now if you leave because you see you have a bad team ( bad team = you're bad yourself ), then they would go in RA again, but if they have a cooldown, they'd punish themselves

Why not a sort of Dwayna's blessing that gives a temp +100HP to all remaining members if they get a leaver? Sure, if one is left alone 300HP more won't help that much but...

Sure prism, Why not ruin Aotl builds because a teammember left?
( Aura Of the Lich = Halves hp, but also damage)
*edit* Nvm..that would boost it...
But still, 55'ers in RA would be pissed, Grenth's balance might be in balanced....
Now a speed boost would be better IMO ^^

Whatever. Some sort of compensation for the 'loss' is what i'm saying. I've never seen a 55hp in RA though, don't think 55hp build have a chance in pvp where you don't know what u'll be facing. Immolate/Degen hexes would do short work of them.

You MUST have had a way to change to a 'normal' build cos if you find a touch ranger you're history. And if you did b4 factions, you had hexes and other things to cope with. I presume you checked if they have no mesmers or maybe even casters, then turned 55. If not... enlighten me. ^^

It is called random arenas for a reason. It is full of random people and I already know not to expect too much out of them. If they leave, I don't care, I just move on to the next match. If I want to play with decent people, I just go to TA or some other place instead.
Best suggestion here though is the punishment. If you leave, then you should be prohibited to play for like 30mins (not too long). It wouldn't be too bad for people who actually had something to do, like a phone call or something. It would at least discourage leaving.

I always bring a secondary set , duh ^^
The chances are higher that you encounter a 4 war team without interrupts, degen ( except for bleeding ) , lockups, knockdowns or edenial, than you encounter enchantment removal...
With the new faction skill spirit bond, you can even bring 600 ..bye bye touch ranger

If I get on a team with three complete idiots; I will leave. No question.
You want to impliment a system that stops me doing that, or punishes me for it?
