Additional intro to proph ~ Orr
Now while my last few suggestions to alter plot have been shot down, this one is different, so please hear me out.
Orr. The third civilization to suffer a change for the worse. Ascalon was seared and Kryta got the White Mantle. But what about Orr? A burst of white light? They can do better than that. Now im not saying that they cant dissappear in a bright light, i can accept that.
TO THE POINT~ I think that when u make a new character they should have the option of starting at Orr or Ascalon. Just as with Ascalon, you would leave (conviniently) right befor everything went wrong to go to war. After seeing what had happened to your home land you of course sign a truce with Ascalon and thus forth end up in Ascalon City(post searing) where you would continue the game on as normal.
Comments welcome(good or bad)

I chose Orr because it would help the players develope a feel for the history and reality of the game in stead of just flying through the missions to get done.
Also it would help the thought that whos to say heroes can only come from the three starting cities. What are the odds that adventurers only start in Ascalon, Shing Jea or Kamadan? By adding different starting locations for players it suggests that Ascalon is not the only one doing anything about all this.

The heroes from Ascalon aren't necessarily Ascalonians.
Adelbern gathered people from all over the place. Look at the NPCs.
Cynn is from Surmia and Aidan is from Kryta.
Same goes for the Shing Jea heroes and the Istani heroes.
Lukas is Kurzick and there are others there from Cantha and the Jade Sea.
As for the Sunspears, Koss is Kournan and Tahlkora is Vabbian.
There's nothing to disclude you from believing that your character is Orrian.
But it all comes down to this. Why?
There's no point to changing it.

I was going to argue that Orr was destroyed and sank under the sea, but on the wiki it appears that the peninsula was just shattered into islands. Most of the country's underwater, but there's still quite a bit of broken land out there in the sea of sorrows, abandoned by living things and crawling with undead.
It might actually be kind of interesting to see more of it. Hear the stories from ghosts/friendly undead NPCs like Vialee, take care of some unfinished business, maybe learn more about the Cataclysm.
I doubt the devs want to add to the lore at this late date, but I'd be interested in this.

I was under the impression that the whole point of the disappearance of Orr was to be a bit mysterious - I think this would ruin it. It's something that has doubtless been left to be covered in the future.

King Aldurburn(or w/e his name is)'s actual words were "Bring to me the finest(or bravest) in all of ASCALON."
I believe that means you are from ascalon.
