Tamer title track concept
Allright, some of you may or may not have randomly seen my Tamer title track concept in another topic I've made related to the rainbow phoenix, but I've decided to revise it abit and drop the phoenix from it as a possible reward for maxing it, due to the split in the community over such a matter.
Tamer Title Track: (#) is the rank, [#####] is the required points for each rank.
Novice Tamer (1) [250]
Apprentice Tamer (2) [1000]
Tamer (3) [2,500]
Expert Tamer (4) [5,000]
Master Tamer (5) [10,000]
Legendary Tamer (6) [20,000]
Beastmaster (7) [50,000]
*Rank names could be changed to something more fun or silly*
For every level your pet gains, you gain 1 point towards the title track. Once you hit level 20 your pet can still gain experiance at a set rate (much like lvl 20 players) and gain additional points for each extra "level" (perhaps 2-3 points). Turning a pet into the tamer npc will reward a bonus # of points equal to the # of points you gained with that pet, up to a maximum of 20 bonus points.
Example being you tame a level 5 pet, get it to level 20, then turn it into the Tamer npc, you will now gain 15 points + bonus 15 points.
This setup prevents death-leveling being used on the pets, and allows for rangers to keep 1 pet and still work on this title if they so wish. This also prevents people from simply taming a black moa and selling it immediately, as the black moa starts at level 20 and could only be worth any points should you "level" it beyond that
This would encourage rangers seeking this title to also avoid taming a low level pet, only gaining a few levels with it, then selling it quickly to "farm" for points.
Note that the numbers required for each rank nor the number of bonus points are set in stone and both need some tweaking. It is hard to set numbers with this because part of the community loves the grind of other titles, and part thinks theres too much grind, so meeting a compromise could be hard.
Feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks to all who took the time to read this.
*Some clarification on death-leveling, It's possible but highly discouraged due to no real incentive to do so, the same thing could be more easily accomplished by simply taming the Black Moa for example and leveling it more.

Additional levels should be geometrically increased, not arithmetically.
For example, they could be like this:
*Base points.
- Level 1..10: 1 point.
- Level 11..14: 2 points.
- Level 15..20: 3 points.
*And the 'bonus' when giving the pet to the tamer:
Level 1..5: 0 points.
Level 6: 1 points.
Level 7: 2 points.
Level 8: 4 points.
Level 9: 6 points.
Level 10: 8 points.
Level 11: 10 points.
Level 12: 16 points.
Level 13: 23 points.
Level 14: 31 points.
Level 15: 46 points.
Level 16: 50 points.
Level 17: 61 points.
Level 18: 73 points.
Level 19: 86 points.
Level 20: 100 points.
And I would reduce points:
Novice Tamer: 130
Confident Tamer: 390
Zoo Keeper: 1560
Animal Scholar: 2990
Beast Master: 5000 (That would be taming at least one pet of each type, including those with different skins (Red/Blue crab, Snow/White/Black Wolf, etc..))
Point could be also acquired just by taming each different pet once to level 20, and the title would be an 'achievement' title instead of 'grind' one.

The entire point of me saying the numbers are not set in stone was due to this, I'll either have to hear "lol ur a noob it's too easy u just want free stuff" or the other side saying "too much grind omg ur stupid"
Please don't post if you aren't going to offer constructive critisism, I don't need this devolving into some flame war/spam thread.
*this was directed at someone who posted earlier, but who's post seems to have been removed.
On a side note, I like your ideas MithranArkanere =p

Not just putting your idea down but it does require Ranger as one proffesion and not all proffesions benefit from /R
So as this is a ranger title i think to stop the flames a title for each proffesion would have to be done and thats asking alot, otherwise its forcing people to run with 6 skills not 8 as a 2nd ranger (Need charm and a animal ress)

All pofessions can learn and use Beast Mastery skills. That includes Charm Animal.
I tamed myslef with my elementalist many animals, with My elementalsits, just because I wanted to have them. If you want the Animal and Imperial Phoenix statues, you have to tame to level 20 at least 2.

Yeah, the basic idea would be yet another title you can work on if you're willing to go for it, and anyone can be a R/X or X/R, to be honest I'm anti-grind myself but you'll always have those people who complain if you make things "too easy" so that's the only reason the numbers were that high in my OP.
Really the concept of pets is already unique to the ranger, and theres so many different pets that I'd say it's a very good opportunity to put some emphasis on trying the various types or promoting the use of ranger pets a little more.
I love ranger pets but we all know how it is, sometimes it seems a majority of the community looks down on pets even though they're plenty good.
I think a little incentive for using pets wouldn't be so bad, title wise, as it's something any profession comboed with ranger can achieve without neccesarily having to commit to a beast master build.
I greatly appreciate all the feedback so far.
