I know that some of you guys are just DYING to be able to get some of your invented skills put in the game, so lets get a compilation and critique thread going just for the purpose of your invented skills. Please keep all submissions reasonable as if they were going to be judged in a design-a-skill contest.
I'll start off with a few.

Flame Jet
Profession: Elementalist
Attribute: Fire Magic
Type: Spell
Cost: 5 energy
Recharge: 1 second
Description: Foes in a line, struck by this attack, take 15...35...40 fire damage and are set of fire for 1...5...6 seconds. This spell causes exhaustion.

Energy Sap [E]
Profession: Mesmer
Attribute: Inspiration
Type: Elite Enchantment
Cost: 10 energy
Recharge: 30 seconds
Description: For the next 2...7...8 seconds, if target ally hits with an attack, they steal 1...3...4 energy from their target.

Empty Mind
Profession: Warrior
Attribute: Strength
Type: Signet
Cost: -
Recharge: 45 seconds
Description: For 1...10...12 seconds, hexes cast on you fail.

Ignore the Pain
Profession: Warrior
Attribute: Strength
Type: Shout
Cost: 10 adrenalin
Recharge: -
Description: Lose all adrenalin. For 2...5...6 seconds, you take no damage from spells or attacks.

Second Wind
Profession: Elementalist
Attribute: Energy Storage
Type: Signet
Cost: -
Recharge: 60 seconds
Description: You are healed of exhaustion. For each point of energy healed beyond 20...50...60, you take 5 damage.

Purifying Surge
Profession: Monk
Attribute: Protection Prayers
Type: Spell
Cost: 10 energy
Recharge: 20 seconds
Description: Remove all hexes and conditions for target ally. For 2...6...7 seconds, they cannot hexed or affected by conditions. You take 10 damage for each hex and condition removed and have -2 health degeneration for 10...3...2 seconds.

I would rather they just un nerf the Paragon and allow mesmers to do some actual damage

Shout.
energy: -130 e
activation time: instant
recharge: same as rez signet

This spell hits all enemies in the current zone. Deal 256256 damage and set all enemies on fire for 256256 seconds. This fire is green and also causes disease, poison, bleeding, deep wound, cracked armor, molten armor, and retarded babies.

This spell also kills yourself, but you'll respawn at the nearest Rez shrine, so no worries, it's impossible to lose.

Spirit Fingers - Elite Stance. For 20 seconds, you gain 1...3 Energy whenever you hit in combat. (Attribute: Leadership)

"To Cheerocracy!" - Shout. For 5...25 seconds, Chants and Shouts on all allies within earshot last 8% longer for every ally within earshot. (Attribute: Leadership)

Pom Slap - Spear Attack. Target foe is interrupted. If target foe is casting a Spell, they become Dazed for 5...17 seconds. (Attribute: Spear Mastery)

Face Ruffle - Spear Attack. Target foe becomes Blinded for 3...7 seconds. (Attribute: Spear Mastery)

"B-E Aggressive!" - Elite Shout. For 1...3 seconds, all party members within earshot deal 50% more damage. (Attribute: Motivation)

"De-Fence! De-Fence!" - Shout. Party members within earshot gain +24 armor for 1...7 seconds. (Attribute: Motivation)

"U-G-L-Y! You Ain't Got No Alibi!" - Elite Shout. For 5 seconds, you have -8 Energy degeneration. All enemies within earshot lose 1...4 Energy. (Attribute: Motivation)

"Go! Go! Go Get Em!" - Shout. For 5...17 seconds, all allies within earshot move 33% faster while their Health is above 75%. (Attribute: Motivation)

Spotter's Flaw - Skill. Target touched foe holds you for up to 1...8 seconds and moves 15...63% slower. If target foe drops you, you lose 5% of your maximum health and target foe is knocked down for 4 seconds. (Attribute: Command)

Prep Absolute - Elite Skill. For 5...13 seconds, allies adjacent to you gain Health regeneration of 5...11. (Attribute: Command)

Flyer's Initiative - Skill. Jump to target foe's location. For 5...29 seconds, one random Spell is disabled for target foe. (Attribute: Command)

Focused Libido - Hex Spell. For 25 seconds, target foe cannot attack. This effect ends if you or target foe takes damage. (Attribute: No Attribute)

Nose Bleed - Melee Attack. Target foe suffers from Bleeding for 25 seconds. (Attribute: No Attribute)

For the next 5..10..15 seconds, you fly into a 'roid rage. Strength attribute raised by +3; the next strength skill you use results in cracked armor. This stance causes shrunken 'nads.

After stance ends, you break out in backne.

this is only wasting of time, because in this way, anet will never implement skills of us.

I at least had until now ever the feeling, that Anet don't cares about our invented skills in forums ...
I've seen yet in concept class threads or in simple skill invent threads like this on different forums so few ones, that were really good thought out and would be from the start on balanced, so that anet would just need to implement those skills and to create for them a fitting skill sign ... but nothing has come until now ...

every campaign and on this add on i searched on the skills if any skills is under them, that i know, that is was originally created by a forum member of any the elite forums ..but again nothing, even nothing similar that got changed a bit by anet for balancing ...

I'd really love it, when anet would finally make instead of a "create a weapon" contest would make more and other contests of this sort, contests like:

"Create Skill (Name)Contest"
"Create a Ranger Pet Contest"
"Create an Armor Contest"
"Create a Map Location Concept Art Contest"
"Create a Monster Concept Art Constest"
"Create a Minigame Concept Contest"

such would be contest I'd wish as player to make to have as player a chance to let influence my creativity in these points of the games gameplay too and not only for creating any new weapons, where in the only my taste decides, if I find the new stuff cool and interesting, or totally ugly and not worth the effort to gain them, because the stuff got then put into any new elite area where those things will then drop only oO at rare chance ...

Why I say, that this here is only a waste of time, because, even when Anet would care for the skill ideas here, do you really think, anything of the stuff here would be implemented 1:1 ?
No, anet would change skill strenghts to balance them, or erase certain effects so that the skills get balanced, changes stuff on e costs, ct's and rt's ...

and then ? in the end they can even say through all those changes, that they have invented it and the original inventor gets even no credit -.-.

What will be your credits, when U#ve won such a skill contest ?
on weapon contest the winners will receive their invented weapons ingame for free, but what will skills ? simple account based direct unlock ? hmm, would be imo the only thing that would make sense ...
