Expand the Game even more
Ok I noticed that this game has a nice level cap of 20. That is really good considering the problems with expanding it too much. But what if you made a completely different style of play?
Basic Outline
The name of the new play style is...(wait for it)... Infinite PvP!
The main points are:- Level cap increased to 200
- Attribute cap increased to 60
- New Max weapons to accomidate levels
- Special Explorable areas to accomidate PvP combat
- All characters created here begin at level 20 and level up through PvP
- Base xp gain from pvp combat increases
- Add some new titles to fit the new level cap, I'm sure there are some ideas that can be used inside this forum.
To get into more detail, the maximum health will increase, max armor and weaponry will increase, and new PvP explorable areas will be created.
Heres more detail on the PvP Explorable areas.
-Max of 8 people at a time.
-Every player for himself!
-All players are situated at different spots
-There are npc enemies in the area
-There are natural obsticals in the area
-Normal Drops
The Different Experience of this type of play
Adding that this should probably be in the bought expansion catagory, this would open up Maximum PvP fighting. Characters made for this server would be non-transferable to other servers and unable to participate in gvg, normal pvp, or faction combat. However, they would also gain access to hours-days of character building/leveling, adding a bit more interest to the game.
Reason you should vote for this
well this is full of holes. I purposefully left these holes to be filled with some choice ideas extracted word-for-word from this forum! In other words if the public likes this idea they'll have to start reading this forum more often to catch the missing pieces (and I aint given them the pieces, so they'll have to look through a good part of the forum, so yay I made something that'll force gw to read these posts as often as possible )
and that's pretty much it. You can thank me later...or not at all and instead throw a fish at a random person that isn't me

You're about to be flamed by everyone and their mom on Guru.
Do you have a "Sleep Now in the Fire" inscription?
ANet said level cap is not going to be raised. Ever.
Attribute are pretty much the same.
All the other things are never gonna happen.
Don't get me wrong, it would breath a different life into the game... But people don't like change. And the community of GW and Guru will lynch you if you speak of it.
Sorry. That's how it is.

I don't want to play Guild of Warcraft. The stupid raise in the level cap is one of the main reasons I'm not looking forward to GW2. Frankly I think it'd be a bad idea to raise the level cap because all that means is we'd have to grind 10x as much and in the end the damage we'd do to and get from mobs would be the same percentage wise.
Raising the level cap would only create an illusion of progress.

I do this from time to time to get a kick out of watching the jerk's reactions. If they're not jerks I don't do it but still, flame to your hearts content so I can pull out a few more tears

(though in my response to Winterclaw, I gotta admit that the entire level system seems a little bit of an illusion of progress. So every idea that changes the level cap around or anything around without changint the damage percentage would be stupid)

No you wrote an idea you thought of then as soon as someone didn't like it you tried to claim it's "some dorks pm"
If you stuck by your ideas they may pass with compromise, but if you back down at the first sign of opposition you'll never get anywhere
Also this is just spam if it's an idea you (after posting) say is only here for a joke, congrats you got your post count up by 4 don't you feel proud
Ontopic : This would be unbalanced specially the hp increasing so a level 200 would be unbeatable

So you saw this posting by someone who you say deserves flaming. So instead of flaming him yourself, you post it here with the intention of copy and pasting our flames back at him ?
Sounds like your either lying about copying the OP or your planning to copy and paste our flames in some attempt to make yourself look better. So which is it ?

Well, there are three things here:- Darkhell153 will get flamed anyway.
- ANet already plans to have a very high or unlimited level cap in GW2 and have no intentions of making such an overhaul to GW1, so it doesn't exactly matter.
- It has been suggested since the dawn of Guild Wars; normally I'd say you should bump a previous thread on the subject, but by now I'm pretty sure ANet isn't listening to such a suggestion.
I'm not sure exactly what Darkhell153 is doing here, but regardless, I'm closing this thread for those reasons above anyways.
