Default HM Halloween-only Dungeon!

As we know, the annual Halloween event is coming up in Guild Wars. I think a cool idea to introduce HM into GW:EotN is to have the first HM Dungeon a Halloween dungeon! Multi level, scary, deungon with unique halloween twists in it, but with rewards that are worth it! Like Candy Corn Armor or Portal Wraith armor! xO! But i am saying, since after all it is HM, it will be pretty hard/ (120 Minutes at the miniumal with a 1337 group)

idk about how annoying this feat would be, but you cant get rezzed in this dungeon! (like a permanent Frozen Soil is on you once you enter)

Itd be cool to hear some of ur ideas of the theme and rewards of this dungeon, as i personally think it should be a haunted mansion or you attack the mad kings haunted castle.

Well im so excited! i love these events and im so sad when their over =(. good thing i piled up on Transmorgrifier Tonics before the 2006 Event ended xD

It's a pretty good idea. The one problem I see with it is that the special events should be for everyone. By adding an elite dungeon for a special event that offers unique rewards, it would completely shatter that concept.

HM and elite missions and the like are designed for the elite players of the game. The special events are designed so everyone, no matter how much they play the game or how good they are at it, can come together and have a few laughs. The two aspects are completely antithetical, and having a special event with an elite dungeon would ruin the fun of the event for those that aren't of the elite player group. For those that play the less accepted professions, or like to run the more experimental builds.

Getting all the unique items in a special event is part of the fun. Restricting some of these items to a group of players that may play more, or play a more accepted class, or just be better at playing the game, is not a good idea. So yeah, the concept is a good idea. It'd be fun to try out. But I think a lot of people would be disappointed.

This idea holds some merit.

My suggestion:

Redecorate the Presearing catacombs and make 2 instances 1 for pre the other for post. Add in Npc's to every major town, that will take you to the "Dungeon of Terror". Set up a quest of some kind. Have random area effects ie. drunkenness/forms/ect. Make all skills/attributes/life RANDOM holiday related. If you "have to much fun" (die) you are instantly returned to the town that you left from. After completing the quest you get a "treat bag" from the mad king himself. This could contain random holiday items in large quantities and a mask.

Give "pre" gwen a bloody knife instead of a flute....

How about the Charr the Norn and the asura learn about Haloween and make perfectly understandable cultural mistakes about this interesting festival.

Games run under their control could add an interesting flavour

Hope arenanet thought about this already if not maybe next year.

The Mad king would approve I think

Yeah, halloween is for all, so restricting it in anyway is a bad idea. Maybe have like 5 easyish quests (scavenger hunts, dungeons etc) that each give a piece of custom armour (candycorn helm, chest, leggings, gloves and boots). And then you can wear the whole set as a halloween costume. Give them 0 armour, or starter armour levels so that you can't just use this to get max armour. Along the way there are drops of tonics and sweets or such.

As long as they also add a 'Canthan party' dungeon and they are available also in Normal mode, It's fine with me.

Just have the Mad King invite you to his castle.

It would be an average dungeon, but with the Halloween twist. The rez shrines would have a blessing that, every 25 kills, gave you a morale boost an amusing blessing, such as:

Mad King's Guard Uni [Form]:
All your limbs are turned to candy. Try not to eat yourself.
Frog:
You have been turned into a frog.
Rock/Paper/Scissors:
You have been turned into [a rock]/[a pair of scissors]/[a piece of paper]

None of the blessings would make a difference to game play, just a different look. Throughout the dungeon, you would fight the King's dunner guests, and eventually fight him in exchange for an item of extreme power (a joke festival hat, of course).
