Ctrl + Shift would make it so that you ping your skill and the target, but you don't move towards the target.
And yes, that is a good idea. I stopped playing a while ago, and I forgot how to ping afterwards.

Hm... meybe hitting H should toggle 'HELP' overlay appear.
You know, like :
Hit H.
Panels show.
One points the health bar and describes it.
One points the energy bar, and describes it.
etc, etc.
Another one points the skill bar and desribe how to change skills acces to the skills and attributes panel, ping the panel, etc...
Ther is something similar in other games, like Diablo I and Diablo II or Sacred.

To you people saying to use ctrl-click...perhaps reading the original post beyond the first sentence would help a bit.
To the OP: if you're already fighting, what's the point? In RA, you can't control what another player's build is so why should you have to see it? If it works, it works. if it doesnt, you lose and get a new team.

No, you only proved that you dind't understand the request.
He was asking for an easier way to ping builds in an explorable area, due to it being rather difficult. We know how to ping builds in a town or outpost, lol.

When, pray tell, do you ever need to ping your build in an explorable area? If you're in RA, it really doesn't matter, if their builds suck, you loose, if they're good, you (usually) win.
If you're worried about synergy with party members, you're doing it wrong. It's random, never expect synergy. This is why builds with ranger spirits never work very well.

In explorables?
There is no reason to ping builds in explorables. You HAVE to ping them in the outposts, so people are sure of what are they bringing before oing out.
In other hand, when someone asks you about a build it's just impossible to show it in explorables. Why? There is no way to get the codes in explorables. You can only get your own code.
The 'load' panel or the 'manage' panel should be able to load builds into the preview build panel to be able to share them and post them in the chat in explorables.

k this is for random arenas mainly. To say there's no need to know your team member's builds is a pretty stupid. I brought this up because I got into a team with this mesmer who was a fragility spiker. Once I found that out I attacked her target immediately with my derv and it was a damn ownage spike!!
But it took a couple rounds to explain how to ping the build lol. Just saying for the beginner's it should be easier to ping builds. There's already a button to send your build to chat, but that button should be easier to access. Even have it as a tiny square attached to the skillbar.
Again not a big deal, but it would speed things up and you'd all know what each other is running and if you have some mending wammo.. then you know to say, k warrior you run in first. Atleast the enemy will waste a couple spells on him.
for me it's /signed

This seems to have gotten out of hand. The guy only said there should be an easier way, also you haven't considered the scenario that somebody might have wispered them for a build, this would be a hassle as they have to open 2 sets of windows, go through the trouble of sometimes having to name the build and sometimes having to save it first.
All you lot have said is the basic obvious things.

Why would you want to ping your template in RA anyway you just might end up fighting that guys when you press enter. You could do it threw whispering them though just press K the white square and send to chat easy enough.

Ahhh! I get it. I think there is one 'term' misunderstanding here.
'Ping a build' means to Ctrl+Click the skillbar to directly send you CURRENT build to the chat panel. There is no need to do so in explorables, since you can still use the K->Get code to load the code to the preview panel and then send it to the chat panel.
There are other things that can be 'pinged' (Current action, you helath, energy, etc... always 'current')
The problem comes when you want to send a saved build to the chat in explorables. You just can't. You can only sent you current build. And always by loading it to the preview panel before.
I think the 'Manage build' panel should have a 'send to chat' direct button.
Not 'ping', 'send'.

I would also like to be able to use the "send to chat" button with heroes' current builds. I'm kinda puzzled why you can't use it with them.
