New Elite Armor linked to KoaBD+
Seeing how there are only 31 pure sets in gwen, i'd think it be cool to have another set of armor for the elite of the elite in pve. My idea is to have a NPC spawn in your HoM similarly to how the Rainbow Phenix spawns. This NCP would offer a free Max armor inscribable set. But for being a free set, it should have great requirement. Requirement should be r6 KoaBD, A God walking with Mere Mortals, plus have all 6 elite mission statue (7 if they add a slavers exile statue). This "godlike" armor set could only be obtained by the most dedicated pver, similar how high end /rank emotes are obtained by the most dedicated HA'er.

No.
That would kill GW for me. Armors/weapons should be equally obtainable regardless of your ingame ability/time spent etc.
Titles, sure! Give a reward to the dedicated pve players. But don't make it armor.

i find it retard that all armor can be gotten from solo how much in game cash you can farm/ebay. I really want elite armor that really is elite, that you really have to work for. I think the gwen armors requiring rep was a great idea wish they left them at r7 like preview event. FoW used to be an achievement, now it just meh, i want some armor that make u go wow, similar to the rainbow phenix did at the beginning.

If you want that style of game, where you need to grind to prove 'skills' then you should play WoW.
Getting Exalted with Argent Dawn should prove these skills.

Does Exalted with Argent Dawn put you in Tier 3 at once now? :O
A different skin shouldn't be a big deal, stats are the same anyway.
You still need to grind for some of the other elite armors, so if you have to max some titles and such for an additional set, whats the difference?
It all takes time anyway.

Who cares if people can get armor that you can't?
Krytan = Elite Sunspear = Istani = Obsidian = Ancient = Canthan = Ascalon = etc...
All armors are the same. The appearance is just different. You want to spend 230,000,000 ectos + 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000K on armor? Go ahead. I'm not gonna stop you.
I'll stick with 1.5K armor. It's just as good as yours.

Its just a vanity item that gives no stat boost. Even though I doubt I'll ever obtain it, I see no reason to object here.
Having no gold and material cost doesn't sit quite right with me. So give it a token cost of say 10k and some materials per piece. But this isn't really important.

Why?
The difference between FoW and this is that FoW can be obtained in a million ways.
With this, you'll need to grind the titles on same character.

Precisely the reason it's so hated. It's not related to skill or experience. It requires grind.

Please, no. I'm dedicated but have not been playing since beta. There is no hope of me ever getting r6 before Guild Wars 2. It is unobtainable to me. Therefore I do not support such an idea.

He's probably one of the many that strongly believes Obsidian > Krytan.
Why is it people think titles and armor are different? They're both made for vanity.
If you can't get it before GW2, who cares? I won't be getting it either. Niether will allot of other people.
All these people that wasted their lives getting KoaBD have shouted for something that they can caress and say "my precious" to while the go to bed. Why not make it another vanity item?

If you ever look at the PvE titles, most are not grinds. They are what i once heard called "Check List" titles. These include:
Protector, Guardian, Cartographer, Skill Hunter, Vanquisher, and i'll assume master of the north when HM comes.
Do all those, there are 19 max titles, 20 when HM in gwen comes
Minor grind titles, titles that take less than 20 hours of runs to max, include:
Sunspear, Lightbringer, and i'll assume when gwen get HM, all the rep titles will take long.
So 21 max titles with minimal grind, 26 when gwen gets HM
Medium Grind titles, just cost 1-2 mill to max, and just time:
Drunkard (and is clicking a icon every 3 minutes really a grind?), Sweettooth
23 max titles, 28 when HM comes
That leave the extreme grind titles:
lucky, unlucky, kurzick, luxon, wisdom, teasure hunter,
You only need 2 if you want rank 6, God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals, 1 if you are a suriver
This item is only cometic, high rank heros get a title and a emote, PvE'er should get alittle shiny:P
Btw, I've only started playing a month after factions came out, didn't take long to get 22 max titles,
Btw, when i played WoW i DID hit exalted with Argent Dawn, all the reward then was just cometic (before Nax came out, quit when AQ came out), +5 to all ressitance wasn't that must of a upgrade, when there was only MC and BWL around when everything mostly used fire.

That is what some cry about.
GW gets a vanity item that requires grind to archive.
I could not care less either, since I pick the stuff that I think looks best.
Why should I care, if it shows some magical status or what so ever, when the stats are equal to all the other sets?

There are those who have no issues with grinding and don't see it as negative way of playing. Vanity items may appear to reward grinding, but in reality the benefit purely subjective in terms of whether the reward appeals to the grinder. There are plenty of pro-grind players who may just not like the vanity item in question and choose not to grind for it.
If the vanity item appeals to you then you have no choice but to grind if you want it.

Oh sure, let's be retarded and make ANet pander even more to the PvE side of this. It's not like they haven't made it abundantly clear that that's all they could really care about at this point. Make them devote more of their limited time to needless garbage while neglecting valuable skill updates.

PKM+ already has rainbow phoenix. There's no need to increase your epeen with uber armor.

Yes they are. Haven't you realized people in sardelac will sign anything that seems favorable to them (like they'd sign a buff of MS to 500 damage without thinking) and notsign anything that might hurt them. Think of them as the uneducated voter base.
