Second Account
I've had a second account since factions came out, mainly due to a desire to play all the various characters and have pvp ones too.
However since Nightfall came out and the ability to buy character slots i now have on my primary account 10 PVE charactrs and 5 PVP. Due to this i dont use my second account at all other than for storage, adn collecting the odd birthday present.
This seems a waste of an account, however I cannot simply sell this as its against the EULA, and I'm therefore stuck with it.
I was wondering if Anet would think of allowing those of us with second accounts to merge them with our primary ones? As we have already outlayed the money for the games it woudl be beneficial for us and nice of them. If it was then i would at least have 8 more characters i would be inclined to use, rather than lettign them gather dust

This is an old topic but I don't think Anet is able to do anything about it. I guess the best thing you can do is use it for storage or play it occasionally.

yeah its kind of what im using it for now, storage, though its somewhat cumbersome to do so,
mainly i have it for presents lol.
I also think that with GWEN and the HoM its even less likely that i will play it, i spend all my time tryign to aquire titles for HoM now

I can't see a problem with merging accounts if the owner can proof the original ownership.
I know that it is possible in some game, but costs a minor fee plus the time it takes going through the details.

Well, you honestly should've thought about that. If you want to have every profession why not just buy extra character slots instead of a new account? It's impossible to combine two full accounts, but I heard somewhere that if you have one Nightfall and one Factions you can tell Anet you want them merged and it can be done.

Because the ability to buy character slots was not added to the game until NF, I believe. Before then, you had the slots you had and that was it. There was absolutely no way to play all primary professions on ONE account. I did the same exact thing as the OP, I bought two accounts back when it was just Prophecies. My 2nd account is now all mules (storage).
