/count
I'm sure all or some of this has already been suggested, but here goes -
When /count is typed in to the window, you get this response:
1) You have mapped 95% of this area
2) You have killed 256 of 350 creatures in this area
3) You have killed 1 of 3 bosses in this area
4) You have opened 2 of 6 chests in this area
I'm sure there are others, but it would be helpful to quite a few different playing styles. What do you think?

Tyria wise, the only thing that is set in your suggestion is the mapped.
Creatures, Bosses and Chests are all randoms ... that would take months of coding.

Hard Mode already tells you how many creatures you've killed, and it keeps count because it tells you when you've vanquished all the buggers so the coding is already done. Cookie cutter it to apply that code to the other bits and its done. Months? Perhaps it was, but it exists already, just not for every player in every mode.
As for this forum, we make suggestions regardless of how long the coding may take. If we limit ourselves to what we (non-coder myself) think might be done would be to self-sabotage the process.

Actually Bloodflesh it wouldn't be hard to code at all (as Kasale said, with Vanquishing its clear they already keep a count of how many ememies have spawned). Still, I don't particularlly like this idea. Especially with chest runners it will help them know if a chest spawned at a certain point without even running to it to see if it's there.

A lot of your suggestions for stats aren't that useful. Though I agree that some sort of way to do cartographer without an outside graphics program to help you would be appricated.

I would find each one quite useful, although I understand your opinion about the chests. I mainly suggest it because of the way the random bonuses work in GWen. It would be nice to know if I should even try to go looking for a boss when it says I have 5 minutes to kill one. Mapping would be prime! I'd love that one.

It would be nice to have a general statistics command for the area you are in.

I'll agree with anything but the area explored.
The other things can be easily done. But the map would require the Anet staff to check how much map can be eacplored in each area, what would take too much time.
