i agree
i don't hate all the reskins but alot of them i won't even consider buying.
i think the community should do a design contest or something for it though so that you know your getting a brand new armor set.
sorry if this is off topic but i've had this on my mind for a long time:
i would personally like alot of the warrior helmets to have the horse hair on them. Mainly because i love the real spartan helmets (Not the ones in the 300 movie) and alot of other ancient/medieval helmets

First of all...there is 41 "new" sets, since warriors got 5 sets, and the rest got 4.
Secondly, and most importantly, theres only about 5 "new" armors. The rest are poorly design reskins. Which makes them not "new". Even the reskins look horrible. Example: Assassin Dwarven. This set looks ridiculous, the pieces don't even match. Reskinning can look good, look at Necromancer Asura armor, it looks nice, and is a reskin. The problem is, most of the reskins look like trash.

False because one class got 1 more armor cry a me a GD RIVER. Booo Hooo MY CLASS DIDNT GET 5 ARMORS I QUIT is that your mentality?

Dwarven armor isn't really a "set".
So really, only the warrior has 4 new sets.
I'd like more armor. Why not? But dammit, new models please...

Asking for more content is not the same as demanding it.
There is nothing derrogatory here so I say keep it open.

How exactly is it a "more more more" thread?
Im not asking for heaven and earth to be moved. Im only asking for one clearly, original armor set to be added to GWEN. Something which would solve the issue of people disliking the re-hashed armor sets.
Something which in my mind, should have been done from the start. Why start a trend of having end-game armor in factions and NF if their not going to carry it over into GWEN!
Did you even bother to read the thread?

What is wrong with being annoyed at Anet for adding a 5th armor set for the warriors, but no one else? It is completely unfair and this excuse of "we had the design already done, but never got a chance to add it in", doest cut it.
Why couldnt they have took the time to consider "hang on, what about the other professions?", and designed new ones for everyone? It doesnt take a huge amount of consideration and common sense to realise, that would annoy alot of none-warrior classes.
Are we not allowed to display our dislike for a particular aspect of the game, which is blatenly unfair on most of the classes ingame?

I think the Silver Eagle armor set was a good idea, and it prolly woulda looked awesome if it wasnt just a reskin. Seriously, I now want an assassin armor with little wings and feathers...NO MORE RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOING BLADES! I dont like walking about like a human shaving razor, and every time my toon falls, he should cut himself in 56 different places!

There is nothing wrong with a thread that asks for something. That's what sardelac is for. Only threads that are offensive, have been discussed before, e.t.c will be closed.

Sardelac is for suggestions and adding "more more more" to the game. What were you expecting? A statue in your honour and a book depicting your intelligence?

This is a good idea actually.
The rather lame presentation of armor ANet provided us with could be complemented with some good looking non-reskins.
For sure

I like most of your ideas. I have no clue what Drizzit is and Im way to effing lazy to look it up.
For ranger I would like to see a hooded cloak type thing. Kinda LotR-ish I just think a long cloak with a hood would be sweet for rangers, a mask and hood would be pretty bad ass too. It wouldnt be like Dervish cause youd still see the rest of the armor under the cloak; kinda like ancient cept with a hood and no wierd arm pieces
The long coats they got now are ok, seem very stiff though.

Truth is that I miss the 'endgame' armor sfor Both Prophecies and Eye of the North.
(Well, Endgame everything for Prophecies, tho, but that's for another thread)

Instead of end-game greens, like Factions and NF, you have dungeons which spawn chests of which contain some pretty good stuff, not to mention the countless masks/accessories that you're given the opportunity to craft. Oh yeah, and you've got Destroyer items. There's no need for anything else to be added.

You're asking for an end-game armour set when GWEN already offers so much else.

In that case why not have rare prestige armor which only drops from dungeon chests?
Sort of green armor that can be traded and worn by any professon. It wouldnt be hard to add and it could be in the style or an entire set in the style of that boss.

rofl, /signed, just for this xD
but, i agree with the OP, an endgame armour, something new and unique..... destroyer armour, created from the asuran magic, the dwarven craftmanship, the norn.....something or other......
to those who are complaining about this being a 'more, more, more' thread, sardelec was designed for this, and the OP did offer a solution, in the form of destoyer armour, but left the overall design up to the community, so that it could be deisgned to be what everyone who agreed with this idea wanted it to be.
