Ok so people (including myself) arent hugely impressed with the 10k racial armor sets, due to a slightly obvious fact that they have re-hashed alot of existing skins.

My suggestion to fix this is to add End Game armor to GWEN, which can only be accessed after killing the great destroyer. Something in the same fashion as factions and nightfall.

As much as I have loved what i've seen of GWEN as of yet, it does have a major issue of the armor sucking and not exactly being "elite".

You would have expected GWEN (being the last ever expansion/campaign before GW2) to have contained some kind of 15k elite armor as a huge reward for playing the game for 2 years.

But instead we got what we got, and none of it has felt much like a "thank you for playing the game for 2 years!!".

The prestige armor is great and I personally want a ninja mask, but it doesnt quite cover the catergory of "elite armor". And prestige armor has the issue of whether it will look good with your existing armor set. If it doesnt then your buggered!

The best and simplist solution seems to be, to add an entire 11th set which is accessed right at the end in a unique instance. Hopefully it would have an extremely unique and epic look too if it.

(Note the idea of calling it destroyer is just an idea, if you can think of something better then suggest it.)

Lets assume it was based around the Destroyers and the Gods pulled you away to a special instance to reward you for all your hard work with protecting the world of Tyria.

You could be rewarded with special green weapons too as you are in factions and NF!

Im not sure what it would look like m(aybe have a lava look to it *shrugs*), but we are in serious need of something elite, unique and epic looking as armor in GWEN.

I realise the HOM is meant as the reward for playing the game, but its not quite enough and we need a reward that we can use between the 2 year gap before GW2 is released!

But you have to ask why we dont have elite armor in GWEN anyway? They have kind of broken the trend which factions and NF set with having "end game armor" in a unique instance.

I'm not suggesting Anet rush this out and make a hash job, but maybe in 3-6 months they add it in after putting some effort into it!

Provided that Anet put alot of thought and effort into this, it would fix ALOT of issues with those who feel let down with the existing armor.

It would also be alot easier then (as some suggested) reskinning existing armors. And also if they designed ALL the elite destroyer armor to work with the prestige armor, so it didnt look out of place, it would resolve that issue too!

This game already has plenty of "elite" armor.

Do you really want everyone to end up looking the same because they all want "TEH UBER IMBA ARMOR OF DOOM"?

Here's a little rundown of things you can already get to look "elite":

You want something dark and expensive: get Obsidian.

You want something stylish and fashionable: get Vabbian.

You want something weird and spiky: get Primeval.

You want something vintage and timeless: get Ancient.

You want something oriental and heroic: get Elite Canthan.

You want something gothic and mysterious: get Elite Kurzick.

You want something organic and natural: get Elite Luxon.

And I'm skipping quite a few here (the ones from Prophecies, notably) that are also "elite".

I frankly applaud the fact that there's no be-all end-all armor set that you absolutely need to be wearing in order to be "elite".

It would end up being a uniform.

Thank god most Obsidian armor looks horrible, forcing the players to actually make a choice about how they want to look; and not just settle for the most expensive one that others dictate them to get.

The main problem is that "40 new sets of armor" was advertised, even though this is false in several ways.

First of all...there is 41 "new" sets, since warriors got 5 sets, and the rest got 4.

Secondly, and most importantly, theres only about 5 "new" armors. The rest are poorly design reskins. Which makes them not "new". Even the reskins look horrible. Example: Assassin Dwarven. This set looks ridiculous, the pieces don't even match. Reskinning can look good, look at Necromancer Asura armor, it looks nice, and is a reskin. The problem is, most of the reskins look like trash.

I wouldnt be suggesting this, had Anet took the time out to actually make some new, unique, different armor in GWEN.

But instead they decided to basically remake the existing elite prophercies armor and redesign it in small ways. But its basically the EXACT same armor that already exists, but its 5k cheaper.

That means we're not actually getting anything new in GWEN in terms of armor. Honestly take a look at elemental prophercies elite armor and compare it to GWEN elemental elite armor and it is IDENTICAL!!!

From my perspective as an elemental, who spent £17.99 on this game and I was told we were getting 4 new armor sets each... that is a huge kick in the teeth!!!

Yes we have some prestige armor, but woohoo.... they dont all go with elemental armor and alot will look really bad when trying to mix and match them!!!

Im suggesting this because we NEED something different from GWEN in terms of armor, otherwise its been a huge waste of money because we all expected new models and skins and designs.

I dont love the idea of having loads more elite armors ingame, but if Anet is going to make the half-assed job like this, then we have to demand better!

Anet has ripped most everyone off, except the warriors who got these special unique extras for their class!

A game that has a map 1/4 the size of factions, with a few new greens and some prestige armor doesnt cut it for £17.99-£29.99, when you add the fact that the armor is basically being re-used.

We need some end game armor that unlike ANYTHING from prophercies or the other campaigns, to make up for it. I expected originality for that amount of money and we didnt get it.

And for the record I have vabbian, primevil, canthan and elite flameforged armor and Norn ele armor. It annoys me that ive paid £17.99 and been given armor that looks a tiny bit better then existing prophercies elite armor.

Its not about wanting elite armor to look oober nice in and swan around feelin l33t. Its about having Anet show they actually do want to make us feel gratitude for playing this game for 2 years!

And re-hashed armor doesnt make me feel appreciated at all!

They might already have plans to add more armor anyway, who knows! But i hope so!

While it is fine that those armor sets you mention cover those categories, none of them cover what a destroyer armor would.

Yes, I am very disappointed with the monk armor sets, and would not mind this idea at all!

I concur...something that is really sleek, yet ornate (having cracks with lava should help that be pretty simple) Heck, I wouldn't mind if they built upon lines of the primeval armor a bit, because there would be a ton of spots where they could easily differentiate. (And maybe they'll bring back the long flowing skirts associated with a lot of the elite prophecies armor for female ele)

It was the only monk one I liked so I agree with that.

Thats why I said just a bit disappointed since the reskins are a bit cleaner then the originals and a bit more detailed. Dye also looks better on them.

But still would have been nice to have something original.

Almost all EotN armor were reskins. I'd enjoy an original set for every profession, especially since Warrior got eagle.

I couldn't agree more! I was very dissapointed with the new armors for nearly all the professions.

Especially for my warrior. An uglier version of Elite Ascalon and a stupider version of Elite Sunspear. On top of that, a mix tape of some of the worst designed armor in game. (Elite Luxon and Elite Sunspear). This is my opinion, I don't expect anyone reading to share it.

I was looking foward to buying many new things that would be more... what's the word.. elite? The Destroyer weapons are jokes, the skins aren't great and they're a cheap take off of tormented weapons, there's no endgame set for Eye of the North, most of the armor is reskins, especially the three sets of the female elementatlist that make it look like a tapestry bra and miniskirt, even though they weren't reskins, the creativity of these sets was next to none, unless the dev's just like to get horny to half naked toons. (Content? I'll edit if nescasarry)

The only thing I actually thought about buying was the new green minipet.... until I saw some jackhole on high end trying to get 100k +250E for it when any character with all campaigns can get it with little hassle.

The weapon skins, the armor reskins, the new armors, the minipet, the items, I was very dissapointed with GWEN. Very good storyline though. (Has anyone noticed that they still have not made perfect endamge daggers when all other weapons have at least one perfect version in all three endgames now?)

All in all, GWEN was dissapointing to me. (Polymock was cool, I wish you could do more battles)

Uh, you already are. It just so happens the skins suck for the end-game items. And if they were willing to make a Destroyer armor set, they wouldn't have included the stand-alone Destroyer gloves. This ain't happening no matter how much you want it to. All the art guys are probably working on GW2/Bonus Mission Pack.

Huh? Both Factions and Nightfall had daggers as endgame weapons...

And if your Dervish? Correct me if im wrong but there is no armor for Dervish's or Paragon's at all in Factions or Prophacies, its not too much to ask for some new armor insted of simple reskins.
