Bonus Mission Pack Promotion = unfair treatment
The Bonus Mission Pack is only available if you purchase more than $29 in either the Guild Wars In-Game Store or the PlayNC online store between July 5th and October 31 2007.
Now how does that make people feel that bought there products from the shelf of a store? You have been totally loyal to the Guild Wars line and bought all 3 Campaigns and Eye of the North expansion. You already have all the products so there is nothing you want/need from the online store. Yet here is this Bonus Mission Pack that you can't get even though you have bought all 3 campaigns and the 1 expansion they have released.
I don't feel this is fair to be unable to obtain new game content just because you bought your products from the shelf of a store rather than online.
For someone like myself who has been playing since shortly after Guild Wars was first released, it is such a disappointment to see this bonus pack handled like this. The content in this pack is certainly something I would want to add to my game. I would be willing to purchase the bonus pack, but why spend $29 on stuff I don't even want just to get the bonus pack?
I could upgrade my Prophecies to GOTY edition and buy 3 additional character slots (that I don't need) just to get this Bonus Mission Pack, but that seems unfair to have to purchase things I don't want to get it after being so loyal to the Guild Wars line.
In conclusion, I request that NCSoft/ArenaNet/Guild Wars Staff release the Bonus Mission Pack for purchase after those that fulfilled their promotion have received it and had some time to enjoy it. Why not add it to the in-game store for say $9.99 (or in that neighborhood) as a downloaded expansion in December? Then those that got it through the promotion still got to enjoy it for a month before anyone else that purchased it. Also, you could limit the option to purchase it to only those that have keys for all 3 campaigns and EoTN on their account so that it is a reward for the players that have been so loyal to the Guild Wars line.
If you disagree with me that is fine, we all have our own opinions. I respect yours so please give me the same respect and not flame in this thread.
If you AGREE and/or feel the same, please post your support for this suggestion/idea in this thread so that Guild Wars Staff and NCSoft will know that it is shared by many players. Perhaps it will get some results.
If I posted this in the wrong forum please move it to the appropriate section. This seemed the logical place to post it.

honestly it makes me feel worthless because i dont have a credit card, i feel as tho guild wars should atleast sell the bonus pack after the crappy premotion, me and my dad have had endless conversations about how us, poorer credit cardless people are missing out, i mean im so dedicated to guild wars i want all the expansion's, bonus packs and campaigns, i went out and lay-buyed all 3 campaigns, then 3 months later bought gwen(4 months ive been playing now), I think shorely Arena-Net can do more then just say u dont have a credit-card u can get F**Ked, they could atleast have the premotion offer in store, or better yet have it available to buy normally in store/online!
my opinion.

The bonus mission pack is reward to players that use the online store. Why? It makes them more money if you do. They don't pay overhead for anything sold via the online store. So no, in that regards it's not unfair treatment... it's a reward for using a preferred method of sales. Maybe they'll make it available by other means later... I don't know.
For those who don't have credit cards (I only have a debit card, but that works. Cut up all the credit cards.) you have the option of a debit card through your bank -or- a pre-paid credit card. In addition, I know that the online store is looking into other means of payment... hopefully they pull that off soon.

That is a pretty impressive run on sentence gloria. But if you look around your town I'm sure you can find a prepaid visa card that should work just fine for the online store.
And Phoenix, you are talking about fair, then say to sell the bonus pack for $9.99? When others had to pay $30.00+? I do think that there should be some other way to get this, which is why I am waiting until the last second to make a $30 purchase from the store, hoping they will add in stuff that I can use. All they have is the games (which most already have) PVP unlock packs (funner to play and unlock the stuff yourself) and character slots most don't need and the $5 Game of the Year upgrade. Not a lot of options there for most of the player base.

I don't have credit card...
Yet I got the Bonus Mission pack.
All thanks to pre-paid cedit cards. There's at least one company that have them in almost each country. At least is every country Guild Wars have been released in.

True, true. I hope they are reworking them. It's not fair they give nothing to those that have already PvE campaigns and everything unlocked.

i think it is pretty unfair but thats buissness
really a person with a credit cards money> person with none
which is why i hope they bring in sms ordering fast.
if you could buy it for around €10 or somthing by itself that wouldnt be so bad, hopefuly anet will learn from this first bonus pack and do somthing that'll work out for alot more people next time.

The bonus pack is just as fair as Walmart offering a free t-shirt with the NF Collectors Edition and Best Buy offering a free poster. It's a promotion linked to a specific location in the hopes to increase that locations business. Nothing more, nothing less.

A T-shirt or poster has nothing to do with in-game play and storyline history in the PvE aspect of the game, so I don't think it compares to this. Those of us that have played GW since the beginning have had to wait approximately 2.5 years to find out the fate of Gwen. Now with EoTN we finally find out her fate. In the Bonus Pack part of its material is "what happened in between The Searing and Eye of the North" for Gwen. That is something we should all have as an option without having to buy something we don't need or want to get it. There are "epic battles and events" from the Guild Wars history that those of us that enjoy PvE would love to experience in the Mission Bonus Pack as well.
And the issue isn't even a credit card, as I have several. The issue is I already have all 3 campaigns and the EoTN expansion, and I unlock my skills through PvE not unlock packs because I enjoy the game play and I'm not lazy. Therefore, there is nothing left for me to purchase from the online store except the GOTY upgrade. That upgrade is only 4.99 USD and leaves another $25 I would have to spend on something I don't want or need just to get the Mission Bonus Pack. That is the problem I have with it.
If nothing but lack of credit card is holding you back then I do agree you should go get a pre-paid card and get the Bonus Pack if you can. But if you are like me and already have all the campaigns and EoTN then you are screwed unless you throw money away on stuff you don't want or need.

I didn't need more slots too but I bought them, so I could get the bonus missions pack! Now I have three more characters to store all my craps that I wish to keep.
Really, I find this a bit unfair to all devoted players and to all the people who bought something on the online store before this offer was available, but I hope Anet will somehow fix this and make everyone happy.

Whether or not you think it compares, it is what it is, simply a bonus item for buying from the online store.

You only noticed this now? Where were you when the information was first released? The discussion was over months ago.
You obviously made the choice to buy EotN from a retail store, so it's you're problem that you didn't take advantage of the promotion.

I did what they wanted. I bought EotN online (and GotY upgrade while I was in; what the heck). I sorta think the OP was hoping that they would change their minds and now is upset that they didn't with crunchtime nearing.
I feel bad for the dial-up users. Thats it. DLing lag file chunks like a game or expansion pack isn't very fair to them, and doesn't show loyalty to players who have been loyal to them. But buying from the online store...well, I never liked the idea. Over a year ago, I pounded the forums trying to kill the store before inception. I didn't like the PvP packs, I didn't like the character slot stuff. They found a loophole to the no monthly fee promise and have exploited it. Now they are exploiting it again.
So...if the OP feels this strongly about the topic, I won't ask where you were a month ago. Where were you over a year ago when the online store hit the screen? Could have used your support then to keep the mods from deleting all my threads so Anet could hear from people other than the dedicated PC/Interweb is life powerusers that post here.
Which they can do with this one for all I care. Dead topic. And when the trolls get wind of it, this will only turn into a flamewar.

How many times must I say this: You download all essential data for new content when it is released, even if you have not purchased it. That disk you get with each Campaign simply contains the data for the basic Gw.dat file (what lets you run the game). As such, Dail-up users don't have to download anything more than normal.
