It would be nice if Rurik stayed the same
I have been attempting the HM Ruins of Surmia mission with my Necro. I have gone back into normal mode to observe if Rurik behaves differently and so far he does. We are all aware that he is suicidal and an idiot. However, while in hard mode he will not stay on the same target or group the party is on. He will run past the nearest group to aggress on the next goup down. He completely ignores the movement of his troops, their energy levels, etc. He has more than doubled my death count in one mission thru complete disregard of party movement, pulling, or focuss of attacks. He does not do this in normal mode. In normal mode he often attacks a different target and rushes. In normal mode he can be counted on to stay with the party or in the party area. In normal mode if you stop to regenerate the energy of your casters he waits til you can move. In Hard Mode he does not wait when the party stops to regen. He avoids the called target. He avoids the group the called target is in. He aggressively brings in 1 (or 2) more groups every time ensuring that you have 6 plus in all combats where it is possible for him to do so.
I have heroes. I use various hero builds. I try various things that are beyond recommendations and that are recommended. I have a huge number of the games skills (especially Prophecies) open. The problem is not the builds, and it is not their interaction. The problem is a change in Rurik's behavior that is uncalled for.
