VOIP built into GW2? or even GW1 as a update?
so i was wondring why not have a VIOP system built into Guild Wars 2 or even 1. like vent or some thing. so people with MICS could comunicate and it would take PVP and PVE to a whole new(not that people havent already done it with vent and TS)
i could think of a billion uses of it....wel not a billion but enough.
but i want peoples opinions specifcly from people who have used this type of program before. i would like to know how it improved your game play and team work
feed back plz'z!!!
sorry if this has been posted b4

why build a VOIP program if you can download it either from internet itself?
if you would build VOIP into GW2 you need to update VOIP every time too, huge download etc. VOIP build into GW2 isn't practical.
bf2 has also an inbuild VOIP system but i dont like it .. it will slow the server just more.

Im not sure about this to be honest. At first I thought nahh.
But if Anet made it possible so that you could buy a server (though GW money of course) for your guild it could work.

to answer your question of why...simply because of convenience and improved game play

This has been rumored and speculated about ever since WoW did the same thing a few weeks ago.
The answer to your question is, because there wasn't a big demand for it. Prior to WoW getting it, NOBODY was suggesting this. Now suggestions for this have poped up every other week. The only reason people want it now is because WoW has it, not because they actually want it/need it. If they really did want it, they would have been suggesting it earlier.

WoW also has money flowing out of their ass from subscription fees and large player base. Unless something changes, Anet simply doesn't have enough resources to have that and keep the lag to a minimum.

This is a free server with enough bandwith being taken up by just packets. VOIP would lag the servers to hell.
WoW is a pay-to-play game, plus with the billions of profit from amazing games throughout their history, they can afford to upgrade their stuff.
Let's face it. Anet is having some trouble... Look at what happened to Auto Assault... their pay-to-play games just aren't as popular and are actually in the DECLINE

ANet only has guild Wars...
NCSoft owns the rights to Auto Assault, Guild wars, City of heroes/Villains, Lineage, etc...
