New Skill: Scapegoat
Necro Skill: {Curse} or
Mesmer Skill: {Illusion} 10 2 45 (elite)
Sacrifice 50% of your total health
All foes adjacent to target attack one another instead of allies for 5 secs. This skill does not work in PvP
Possible other skill name: Land of Confusion
to over powered?
I thought it would be fun to watch. with the low working time of 5 secs I was hoping for balance. Of course a team of players using this would be ugly as hell. Hmmmm Maybe ideas to help balance it. It was originally a necro skill. I prefer it that way but what would it be? Blood, curse or death.

edit: to total health for clarification, Added name change idea. Made note that its PvE only skill.

50% current or total hp?
we have Wandering Eye that does the same *only once though.
This is looking ultra over powered tbh. something more like Peace and Harmony (..."ends if that ally casts a spell that targets a foe or deals damage to a foe") would be ok i guess, except it would end when a foe would deal damage/cast a spell that targets a foe.

I see what you did there....
It's another PvE agro management skill with a twist.

I was thinking it might work better as a mesmer skill, under illusion. As for it being silly, it causes the enemies to attack one another instead of the party. It could be pretty powerful. Theres what hex removal. but it could still wreck havock on most parties.

The high recharge vs. the low skill time would put a full party of people using this skill at 40 seconds. So that would help balance things on this skill so long as nobody uses a skill to copy it, or get the recharge halved. The real question is whether the party would need 40 seconds for the mob to kill itself.
The health loss is a good factor, add a decent health skill and that would take care of things until its your turn to use the skill again(plus, with a party like that, every time you use the skill you're losing less and less health) and its taken care of, however. Also, is it 50% of total health or current health? Total health would certainly make it more of a pain to use.
But that's just my two cents

well if it were used for PVP would it go like this?,
The real players change target to a random allie for 5 secounds, but it only changes target as in any time in those 5s the human can change target, as in screw up players not payign attentioon?
or a 5s purly of allie attacking where the enemies cant easily take advantage of this?
or maybe a single unit kinda thing as oppsed to units nearby
it would be nice but i would see it as massivly imba unless it was only able to be used by 1 party member with no echos.

All you really need is for everyone to run mending+this skill on 40/40 sets. Assuming you cast once every 40 seconds, mending would replenish 320 health, which is enough for the life sac.

Like the idea, but maybe a skill that's like LightBringer title track instead of a mesmer profession. Because, I don't see how this could work in a PvP area, and could easily be overpowered for farming.
Maybe Asuran Title Track, since they seem to be more magical then the others? 2..5 seconds, Target foe and adjacent foes attack each other.

Its not a PvP skill. I HATE PVP and could give a less than a shit for it. This should have been an obvious PvE skill.

I dont see the need for more PvE skills. Its pretty easy with a SY/TNTF Paragon already.

Ahhh so we need to use more cookie cutter designs and not try anything original. More skills mean new builds, means more creativity, means more fun. (At least for some of us) I have never used a paragon player or hero unless it was required for a quest. I use my assassin heros more then i have ever used a paragon. So your "contrutive" idea is
we dont need anything else we got good skills.
Right and once no one needed anything other than a MM, or a SS ele, or what ever other skill combo made people wet themselves. This is my idea for a skill to make the masses wet.

How often does any pvper kill themselves with insidious parasite, or caster with backfire?
.....
Actually, this skill would rock for RA or AB.

imo this skill could be fun.
Change it to whenever target enemy does damage, that damage is redirected to one of his teammates . Just keep the 50% health sac and give it a long recharge.
Edit: Make it pve only as this would just own spikes in PvP.

if it were Blood magic skill for Necro.
the skill will cause your opponent (the attacker that you cast the spells on) into thinking they are attacking you, but what it actually does is every time they hit you they steal life (how many have to be determine) from 2 adjacent opponents and sends it your way, while you regain your health from the attack, 2 adjacent opponents will mysterious die. this also will balance the sacrificing of the 50% life. Note that this will not make the attacker loose health, reasons so that they don't know what is happening (example, when you get Spiteful Spirit cast on you, the attacker will notice health lost, for this, only the adjacent opponents will notice it, if they don't run away they will die).

Pretty much what I was thinking Pumpkin. Its enough to wear them down, unless the whole party brings it. But then theres also hex removal and if theres a mesmer or monk in party they may notice it but not attack. I tried not to make it overpowered.
