Default Holy Damage Weapon Mods.

I would like to see mods added to the game for "Holy Damage". My idea here is for melee weapons. Such as rangers having a Holy Damage string on their bow. Rangers are treated like the poor redheaded step-children of GW where farm groups are concerned. There are 2 places that rangers can consistanly farm(as in groups looking for one) Tombs and the Furnace. Just try to get a ranger group in DOA or in FOW / UW. Its not an accepted idea for the most part. Myself and guildies have done several run in FOW and UW with b/p groups, but it is not a widely accepted idea. Hell with Holy Damage mods it would open up possiblities for Sins and Paragons even. Even if it were offered in the form of a new line of Greens. I could elaborate more on this idea but I am sure you have gotten my point already.

No. No armor mod protects against holy damage like it protects against physical and elemental damage.

If you use guild groups in those places why not take your own builds rather than relying on a cookie cutter farm build then. also, B/P is very popular un urgoz's warren

Rangers are used in UW and FoW all the time. Try using something besides B/P (like trapping, interupting, or burning arrow degen) and you'll see that they can be used in a balanced group very easily.

If you want to do holy damage, bring a smiting monk with strength and honor, etc to convert existing damage into holy.

This isn't allowed due to game balance/mechanics.

dark dmge, holy dmge, chaos dmge, shouldn't have + armour mods since then you'll nerf a whole bunch of skills and weapons.

If you think rangers are unwanted, try a mesmer or para.

My Mesmer is only unwanted by the kind of people I wouldnt want to be seen dead with anyway.

Being a mesmer looking for a group sorts out the bad players like nothing else.

Don't be ridiculous. Just because it can be done doesn't mean it should be done; introducing a weapon mod that allows the wielder to ignore armor is just a tad absurd.

I'd love a mesmer in my group. It's a hard class to learn so any one so confident in their abilities to be a PvE mesmer is more than welcome in my group. Depending on the person themselves, of course.

Paragon? Meh, no harm in taking one. Hexbreaker Aria can be very useful in some places.

Almost everyone is confident of their abilities.

Paragons are overpowered. They still are. It's a mystery as to why people seem to dislike them. It's probably the people who are confident in their abilities who exclude them =D

Maybe, but I exclude real people regardless. Why try with humans what I can do immediately with hench?

I find playing with people more frustrating than playing with heroes but more fun.
People are unpredictable and bring a far wider range of skills to the missions, yes sometimes this leads to failure but often to a fresh way of completing the task.

This makes the game less boring, still heroes have their place and I use them a lot myself.

One trouble at the moment is that darned survivor title so many want it they darn't risk player parties.

Worst thing in the game imho

You don't see zombies running around PvP. That and it's more of a archetype in games for holy types of damage to be more effective against undead. Kind of like certain elementals are weak against different elemental magics.

you also can't get +AL mods on armour and weapons to protect from holy damage, so in pvp everyone would drop their elemental set for a holy weapon.

Entirely imba. There are elemental mods for this. The holy would be STRICTLY better than Ebon, now, since there is no Ebon conjure.
No +AL against holy, and it should stay that way.

...? where is it mentioned that this mod would be pvp exclusive?

a total pvp/pve separation of skills and items is the way forward, but its not what was suggested.

as it stands having a weapon mod that would passively double the damage against a whole enemy race is absurdly imbalanced.
