i just finished my first run through, and skipped very few of the cutscenes no matter how many people wanted to. I wanted to see it all, and had no desire to cause problems

I'm glad to see you came in and signed off on this. It's unfortunate that more people seem interested in not signing your suggestion than they are in finding a potential solution to the problems of cutscenes.
Come on people: the great thing about Anet is that they actually listen to their customers. That is, when those customers show they want to see a change...
Be heard! Ask Anet to fix cutscenes so groups aren't penalized for watching them.

As a MM I can feel the pain when my minions die but I too went through the game for a first time and wanted to watch everything.

Eh I'm almost always on the devil's advocate side of debates around here. LoL. I'm used to it. Still someone has to argue those points. This solution will work well and it would be petty not to sign off on it. It's like cutting of your nose to spite your face.
/signed again because it is a good idea that has a chance for implementation.

/sign only if we can't go majority and give players the capability to watch them elsewhere.
Maybe there could be a check box at the beginning of the mission that you choose to skip all videos or not. And if all said to skip, it would, no skip button needed in the mission. If you're forming a group and there are one or two that don't want to skip, you can get other players.

Too many times have people run past the Minotaurs in Elona Reach, just to be mauled by them all during the cutscene. An excellent idea.
