Can Anet Kindly Improve Color Dye system?
I know Anet meant well to create the color dye preview system, and I appreicate that feature.
However, for all the long term gw players whom care about appearences and styles on the characters we use.
We all realize that before Nightfall release, the older Color dye give us much better brighter color shade then our current color dye.
Few color I like to mention here,
Pink < Pink used to be very easy to create.... Most armor become pink by using Red + Purple. However, with the new system, this color shade is almost gone.... I've tried it on all profession's armors or even on dyeable weapons..... it just end up creating Purple instead of Pink.
Red < This color doesn't mix properly with any other lighter dye now, in common sense when you mix Red + White or Silver.... the color suppose to react to ligher red such as Pink, but with the new system, if you blend any lighter color with Red it turn out to be "Brown!!" I've spend money and time testing all profession's 15k sets and Red is just hard to blend.
White < White dye are pricy, yet.... 80% armors in Gw does not dye in actual white.... it turn out really weird or it looks very "greyish", like light grey! It doesn't make sense if we spend 3K+ and end up we're getting a grey color.
Black < We all know the new dye system darken every shade, new Black dye washed out every armor detail and simply make our armor look very bugged. The older Black dye system look so much so much better without washed out the armor detail. Black Dye is PRICY!! 7K+..... I really hope Anet can fix this dye to make it worth the price tag.
No Double same Dye < Often some Elite armor require same 2 dyes to look brighter and "better". I dunno why Anet limit this feature when for example single red dye and 2 red dye looks "different"? (I understand if using 2 dye result the same as 1 dye, but it looks different!!)
Anet has done a lot I know, perhaps most people doesn't care their character's appearences or their styling. But would Anet actually spend some attention on the color dye system? For example Input few more colors such as Pink? Or fix the dye for a brighter shade? Or allow us using 2 same color dye? etc.
I've always wanna suggest, but wasn't sure if Anet or Gaile Grey will pay attention on this, but anyway, hopefully they will.

Yes, I've seen a lot of people asking for pink dyes, I've always wondered why they don't just implement a pink dye. I personally wouldn't use it, but I know a lot of people who would. No real problems with this idea, in my view. Its not a project of a scale to take the entire GW2 teams attention.
They could also introduce a brightening dye, for your other idea, but I don't know how well that would work. I'd like to see it improved though. Any ideas from the people below me?

Red dye always seem to mix unimpressivly for me as well, it always seems to just turn out very dull.

While overall, though I like the dye preview window, dyes no longer mix as well they used to (never thought I'd say that), as in many of the OPs examples. I do wish you simply got what made sense, more or less, when you mixed two things together, within a reasonable range to account for some armor differences.

Anyhoo signed, particularly for the idea of allowing multiple dyes of one colour.

Pink is made with read and white.
But the dye system is bugged.
If you add two dyes, they get mixed with the base color of the item.
They should apply a grayscale filter to metal, sepia for cloth and brown for leather, before appliying the colors.
Now, if you add Red and Yellow to and Elementalist armor, they get mixed with the base purple, for example.
To get 'Gold', that should be silver+yellow in an elementalist armor, you have to add green (!?!?!). Why? Green+Purple=Brownish. Then, adding yellow turns the Brown into a gold-like color.

Not always.

Notice the blue and green combos, even the purple. Black actually enhances the color there (which is why my rit has that armor in black+blue)

I lost one of my favorite colors to the new dye system, it was a light teal, now it's a very nasty green. I would also love to know why red and yellow makes brown on some armors as well. Pleeeeeease a fix is needed.

I agree with Chickorita23 I wish they would so something with the dyes system... Even though I do appreciaite there effort with the dye preview window, so that way I dont wasted my dyes... But come on Anet work with us on this very easy to fix issue...
I miss the old way of mixxing dyes by dumping one vail into the other, it allowed for better dye coloration than this new dye systems does...

I accidently salvaged one of my armor pieces a few months ago, armor I've had dyed with a single silver from back in mid-05.
No big deal, I'll just buy another 1.5k piece and re-dye it.
No amount of recombining the dyes would yield the exact same shade of silver as before. In the end I was forced to re-dye everything instead of just one piece.
I like the dye preview system, but I didn't appreciate the need to re-do everything.

IMO, i believe that they should enable us to choose where we wish to dye our armor for instance like Ancient Dervish armor its default brown with a few dyable spots i would like it if we could dye the brown part a different color. i think we should get Primary Secondary and maybe a 3rd option. its the little things that count P:

Try mixing red with orange. Gave a nice deep red to my necro armor at least.
Anyway, to me it seems as if most colors are much brighter now, or at least purer. There was no white before, which is why my 55 monk was wearing pale yellowish. The black was middle-gray (as my ranger can attest). The yellow was a dirty yellowish-green (which looks good on my mesmers enchanter armor, though). Orange was light brown. Silver was light(ish) gray.
Is it perfect? No. Is it worse than before? No.
Personally I'd like to see ability to color all areas of the armor instead.
(But above all I wish ANet would drop the "more & longer spikes = more uber armor" theory of armor design)

I don't, mostly because the preview window is so vastly superior and doesn't consume your dye automatically...
The one thing I miss is that Ranger Canthan no longer dyes such nice pastel colors without throwing silver or white in the mix...

Keep the Dye Preview window but revert the dying system to before. That would be ideal.

/signed. That, and remove the already present ugly colours from the existing armours. The ugly orange inherent in Ancient monks armour comes directly to mind. What the hell kind of colour looks good with orange???

dont know if this has been mentioned already, however i like to mix different types of armor, and the current dye system dyes different stuffs differently, wich i thought was the point of this new dye system was.. to make dyes dye the same on all armors? or am i mistaken... Ive ended up dying my armor black cuz it was the only dye that looked the same on all armor pieces.. and black is a booring colour wich i normally wouldnt chose as an only colour...
