Obsidian Armor Appearance
Here I would like to get some ideas from everyone that how do you like the appearance (style/design/pattern) of the Obsidian Armor (the most expensive Armor in GW). To me, it just looks ugly and cheap. For some professions, it is not even comparable to their 15k armors. I was getting an idea from my guildies that Anet should either create a new costume with distinguished luxurious design (cost higher than Obsidian Armor) or redesign the current Obsidian Armor to make it more suitable to its price of 1 million gold.
Could everyone vote on this concern which will ultimately benefit all of us.
Also, please vote on which profession's Obsidian Armor you dislike the most, sec.

I agree, 15k is definetley much nice, and what less than a 10th of the price.
Obsidan is just a hulk of black smudge on almost all proffesions. Personally i dislike Warrior the most, as its the most common and also the most mushhy like. lol
15k all the way

The designs of FoW armor are years older than their NF or EotN counterparts. It's to be expected that as the developers upgrade the visual engine, the armor sets will also improve.
If you prefer the look of one of the newer, less expensive sets (as other players do) then just buy it. Fissure armor doesn't have the esteem it once did, so wear whatever pieces you most want to look at. No one else cares.

FoW armour is just a waste of money.. most of the sets don't even look as good as their 15k counterparts.. and some sets don't even look better than their 1k counterparts imo.. namely Monk set.

most obsidian armors are totally ugly and imo alone there appearances makes them for me not worthy to be called Elite-Armor , only because so much ugliness costs so much ...and is hard to obtain...
But there are also some Obsidian Armors, that look quite good, when colored correct, like Obsidian Ranger Armor.
imo the 2 most ugly obsidian armors are Warrior(M) and Elementalist(F).
so ugly, its undescribeable
looks more like a robot of the year 3000
so have female eles too look like
sexy ^^
i'd wish, some obsi armors would be changed, overworked, i mean redesigned or so
That female obsi armor becomes more sexy and lets them not look like thorned war robots

Warrior FoW Helm is all right but the rest makes you look fat.

its PERSONAL PREFERENCE whether you like it or not. Just because some people don't like it doesn't mean everyone doesn't like it. So why should it be changed because some people don't like it?

from the reply above, i can tell most people dont like the cheap looking of Fissure Armor (exclude some uncommon/odd aesthetic maybe). the reason is so obvious of its high cost. If it only costs 1k per set, no one would even care about it's looking. If you dont really care about 1 million gold, Im always open for your gold donation

The only obsi armor I like only a bit is the Rit(F). The others are plain ugly.

Its personal preference....
You cant argue for this kind of change based on personal preference.
---
I love Elementalist FoW, it gives me a big X-Men movie vibe with sculpted leather. rawr...
And Warrior FoW, i love the grimy dark cast iron texture of it.
To each his/her own.
The only thing i would change is for higher resolution on textures.

There's no debating that the Sin set looks mockingly simple compared to some of the ornate details that all the other professions have. I'd say a more detailed remake of that set, the others are fine.

I love male mesmer FoW because you don't see many male mesmers running with it :P
And Chaos Gloves with White-Dyed Male Mesmer FoW is simply beautiful.
(Just want to say how my Mesmer looks like ;P)
I really don't mind if they add new prestige armor to the game, but I would go with /signed.

Sure you can. since you can argue anything to be personal preference. all skills, game speed, texture, chat, etc..all belong to personal preference. the change should be made base on the majority's will.

Its personal preference. Anet isnt going to go back and redesign these. If they want to add another set.. sure. No harm in that.
I simply adore female monk FoW. I also really like female ele and necro, as well as mesmer. There's some I dont like, but for everyone there are sets they dont like and none of us would agree unanimously.

-.-
If Obsidian armors were imbalanced or somehow an exploit....petition a change
If obsidian armors were broken (things missing, animations broken, no texture, reverse normals)...petition change
If obsidian armors were bugged (somehow crashing the game) petition change
If obsidian armor somehow causes a forced decline in your gaming experience, then petition a change.
Skills fall under game playability, balance and function.
So does game speed.
Texture and chat..i dont even know how you can compare that.
Obsidian Armor is armor.
Its no better than any other armor. (in terms of function)
Its no worse than any other armor. (in terms of function)
Its different in its physical appearance to other armors (not prettier, not uglier, not better, just different)
Its more expensive than your standard armor.
If you dont like it.
DONT F_ING BUY IT.
Some people like me like some of it.
Stop trying to ruin other people's experience because somehow you think your preference is more important.
especially with a long established armor that other people have already bought/saving up for. Removing or changing it will ruin it for those players.

Even if some sets may look fugly to you, I'm not sure people would be happy to log on and see that their most expensive armor has totally changed.
