Hey guys,
I been playing GW for nearly two years now and i pretty much tried every single class for pvp and pve.
Was just playing my ranger and doing quests because there was nothing better to do and i thought to myself, even though there was a update that allowed me to customize my characters appearance further i still felt like nothing much has changed.
And well, adding new classes to new expansions is cool and all, but i was kind of hoping that they would let my rangers class advance further and thereby increasing the amount of stuff i can do.
So i looked back at all Diablo kind of games and Neverwinter night and the idea came to my head, Why not let there be advanced classes in GW? Something like a Barbarian for warrior, or a Paladin. For monks i was thinking towards martial artists or something like that. I have just been feeling really depressed that the only way i can advance my character further after having played so long is to buy a new set of armor and try new combinations, who else agrees that we should be able to advance our characters classes and abilities more as well?

That's why we can switch our secondary profession at anytime. W/Mo would be a Pally technically...

Anyways it's not that it's a bad idea, but bad for GW imo.

I see where your going and I agree with Silv3rr. What I would like to see though and this may help your idea as well is dual class skills. stuff thats only open if you are a w/mo or e/n etc. Maybe 5 or so skills for each combo

a/me
Minds Daggers (like Illusionary Weapon but you get Dbl Strike)

e/n
Summon Ice Golem

(just a couple to play with)

Isnt this the way GW2 is likely to go.

Where you are not just a warrior with set armour types but more choosing what kind of warrior.
Thats the impression I get anyway.

Like the idea though.

Not a bad idea, the way I see it means that our existing characters unlock a (few?) extra sets of attributes and skills (perhaps insignias too) personally I think this is a great idea.
