ID software did it.
Xbox's DoA did it.
Nintendo's Poke'mon Did it.
Even Sega's Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat.
Time for Arenanet and NCsoft to make their mark in History Permanently.
Guild Wars "The Movie"
Make it bided for a 3 part system just like LoTR.
Tyria, Factions and Nightfall. EoTN will come into it for GW's 2nd movie.
Can't wait!!! Just thinkin about it's gettin me excited. It'll be the sickest movie ever!!

The plot is probably going to be something pretty corny lol since they have to make a 3 hour (maximum or people will get sick) movie.
That's a lot of plot to squish in.

Orlando Bloom would make the best ranger ever! Oh wait...
Seriously, I would definately go see that one on opening night but there would be a few issues to iron out. Can you imagine Prophecies in a two hour movie? No? how about 3 or 4? Not really...
Proph would take at least a two parter.
Part 1: Ascalon, Northern Shiverpeaks, Kryta and Maguuma, mabye up to the part where you find the mantle are evil. Just picture creeping in on Bloodstone Fen and seeing the chosen get axed then cut to black. (Ohh I just got warm fuzzies!)
Part 2: Southern Shiverpeaks and Ring of Fire (people would snore through the crystal desert).
Oh how I would LOVE to see this!

a WoW movie has already been announced so GW loses the race in those terms.
I personally don't think this movie would be that successful if it was done. Guild Wars has a niche audience and its not going to interest too many other people.
We'll of course have WoW fanboys watch it and say its shit or something along those lines happening while GW fanboys will do the opposite.
I just don't see it happening because this game is not something that would come top of the mind such as Pokemon, Doom, Street Fighter, or Mortal Kombat. Dead or Alive BARELY made it to theatres so no, I just don't see this happening.
But like Onarik says... if Uwe Boll does it.. I'll watch it for the craptastic cheese.

Hopefully its sarcasm >_>... just because he was Legolas doesn't mean he has to be the ranger in the movie (assuming there is one -_-)

Not Uwe Boll, of all people... He's already butchered too many video games through big screen adaptations. House of the Dead and BloodRayne I could handle, but when he decided to butcher Dungeon Siege it became personal.

We need him to butcher this too, so we don't have to ever think of going to see this movie because I honestly see it turning out poorly either way >_>. Its just me tho so iono.

It wouldn't have to turn out poorly if we got a director who a) knows the game and b) is willing to give us something new and fresh without breaking too far from the GW mould. Maybe Gaile Gray could go in the big chair

Not saying it has to turn out poorly but it most likely will. Like I said.. this just isn't as well known as the other game movie franchises. Im guessing that most of the good directors/producers/writers don't even know what Guild Wars is and by asking them to make a movie on it will probably force them to do a rushed research job and end up giving us a piece of crap.

For whoever plays Rurik, pick an actor that you would get a kick out of seeing killed twice

When the movie comes out they can release a budget expansion called "Guild Wars: The Movie - The Game".
And the game will be such a huge success they would want to make a movie called "Guild Wars: The Movie - The Game: The Movie"

But if the movie's story is modelled after the game... would the expansion basically be the game of game of the movie of the game!? >_> I'm so confused by typing that. lol
