New Arena Idea
I looked around and I don't think anyone has mentioned this idea.
Make a persistent arena, similar to cities. Give each room a player limit and just have it add districts when they get too full. Say somewhere between 30 and 100 players. Maybe more, depending on how big the maps are and whatnot. Don't want to make it take too many servers to run.
But anyway, everyone would be able to join or drop at any time. Maybe not even teams, just a huge mosh pit. They could play for Balthazar faction or they could gain faction based on one of the new factions in GWen. What do you guys think? Any ideas on specifics?

Like a giant slaughterfest, no rhyme or reason to it?
...
...
Hell yeah.
Anet decided to destroy RA's straight killing, so I want somewhere where I can just fight without any real goals.
I say do it. Or give RA back as it was. Either would be fine.

Slaughterfests are fun. Especially when taking an entire guild there to clear it.

Seems like a great idea, but like HB, 1 or 2 classes would seem to rule it all, so you'd have a bunch of monks trying to kill each other, or a bunch of blood necros, touchers, blinders, whatever in there.
It'd be like AB but you want to survive as long as you can, so you'd make builds to survive with little offense.
Not to mention, if a guild got together and were able to join in at once, what's preventing them from teaming up on everyone else then just sitting there forever? (I hate bringing things to runescape cause that game sucks), but take fight caves for example. A group of friends join in, team up and kill everyone, then just sit in there and chat, pissing everyone else off.
I like the idea of a massacre arena, but it seems too easy to exploit it.

Isn't this the sort of thing they're talking about incorporating into GW:2 or did I understand that wrong?
Well, I don't think there's really a place for it in this GW anyway, but the idea sounds fun though, and it sounds like my sort of thing. Log in, kill some people, log out. No waiting to join fail groups.

There could be a system implemented to make it fairer. Eg. Several games happening at once and you "Enter Mission" and get placed in the "arena" which most needs your class. That way the game itself can try to do the balancing, a little like Fort Aspenwood does I think. However, with up to 100 players the "team balance" could get ropey.

Thanks for the response guys! I was thinking and based on your responses, a constant respawn would probably have to be there. To keep people from holding it for long periods. I also think the attempt at auto-balancing is good too. Wouldn't want all of one class to get stuck in one room.

GW isn't built for that kinda fight right now.
However kinda off topic
GET THE GOD DAMN AB STYLE MAPS OUT OF RA
and yes I know they are from HB.

Sounds like fun. Not practical for GW1 though. For GW2, however.

There is no winning or losing, it's just a constant mosh. Respawn till you get bored and go do something else. Again thanks for the feedback guys!

Make it where if a Person hits 20 kills with out a death then they get a negative. as something is up with there build. So -15 energy or -100 life or enchants dump and have to be recast. This way people with "god" builds could only run it for a bit.

Similar/slightly modified idea:
Have 5 groups per district/match
--Each time a player joins, they join the group with the least players
Each time a team scores a kill, that team gains x points.
--Optional: Each time a player dies, the team looses 1 point. (should be some form of safeguard against people purposely dying, maybe something similar to the dishonor system)
When a team reaches xx points, each player gains something, points for a title, extra faction, ect. (this is in addition to faction gained per kill, as per normal PvP)
Players are resurrected every 2-3 minutes.
Might be fun.

Here're my two cents
Good points:
1. It WOULD add in a rather fun slaughterfest aspect to the game
2. IT would add in more pvp stuff and pve's already getting to be boring so who cares about it?
3. I'm bored of waiting 15 mins per alliance battle
4. It would be nice to have a more pointless slaughter type of PVP
Points against it
1. It'd be just like all other PVP where 2-4 class builds will ruin it for everyone else, but then again that's normal PvP for ya and we're used to it.
2. It'd take up an amazing amount of servers to keep up with the popularity of it and they still don't have enough to keep AB running at a semi-reasonable pace.
