People who bought GW for skill>time are long gone.
Hence it's pointless to argue it. The audience that would agree is mostly gone, or simply doesn't care anymore.
Welcome to GW2, skill is optional, as long as you have plenty of time.
BTW, claiming that GW has no grind: go make a new character. You'll see where the grind is, once you find yourself with an empty titles panel.
Another thing about WoW - leveling to 70 takes less time than many grind titles in GW, if you follow one of those optimized quest guides. And in WoW, that's normal gameplay, not rezoning every 3 minutes on same map for 4 weeks.

Perhaps I should also make a comparison to Tibia (what ever that is) because if its anything like WoW then its relivant. The point I and others try to make, is that we are basically given most things in GWs on a silver platter compared to other MMOs or RPGs

Most MMORPGs are abominable games that you need to give up your life for. Literally. It's impossible for anyone with a semblance of normal social life to play. It's not a valid argument really.
This is also the reason why few gamers even know that MMORPGs exist - no challenge, no content, just endless grind. This "silver platter" is basically a slight hint at somewhat playable game.
MMORPG genre has barricaded itself into a niche that's rapidly dwindling. This is why such strong push to other media and genres. MMORPGs are crappy games. They only succeeded due to novelty, but then failed to deliver anything new. The future lies elsewhere.

Why is this suddenly a GW vs WoW hate rant? I dont care about the game play of WoW (the graphics were enough to make me hate it) The OP was talking about making it easier to max titles. That is not needed. The title based skills are not needed. My necro is in gwen and has very few of these. You know how it changed game play for me? It didnt. My sin which is my main char has a ton of them (cept asura cause I suck at polymock) and i seldom ever use them. These are gimme skills that require a little work for the grind to get. Its like sunspear and lightbringer. unless you are in NF they are farily useless. The ebon gaurd might be cool fighting char in old ascalon but even then i did it before i had the title. My point of this long ramble is simple.
You dont need them, you dont have to grind for them. Take the time to work for it or dont.
and to everyone else
Go play Tibia, then you will come back to GW or WoW and kiss the cyber ground its made of.

If the future lies elsewhere, then how come out of all my games this is the only one I play on a regular basis and dont put away after 2 weeks?
Infact why are you posting in a forum for an MMO/RPG if you hate them so much?

there really is very little or no grind to max those titles just play throught the game kill the monsters remembering to take the blessings and youll get there in no time and those skill work fine at lower levels.
and what is skill over time spent oh yes its getting run from a to b jumping contenents to get max armour going afk in missions thats why you think getting your rank up is grind.
now as many many ppl have said in the past do your quests your missions kill a few monsters on the way they wont bite much

1- we paid for them
2- at toprank they are the strongest spells in the whole game.completely overpowered compared to pvpskills.
i'd rather they removed them honestly than give'em as reward to ppl who like grinding.

I'd rather you people get over it. You can only have three of these skills equipped at one time...and other than ursan, you can't complete an area with just these three skills. they're high powered skills that mesh well with other PvP skills and augment a PvE skillbar. How is this unbalanced? How is this "overpowered"? It's just matching the cheap tactics of NPC enemies by giving us something to fight back with as any class.
You paid for them. So use them. Why are you refusing to use them because they're overpowered "at top rank"? At normal rank just by playing the game, they're on par with most similar PvP skills out there. To make them overpowered, you have to grind for them. It's not like they totally suck until you hit R10.

I could use that same arguement by saying..
"I want FOW armor, but I dont want to farm or buy loads of ectors and shards because I cant afford it. Its not fair because I bought the game and I should get it for the same cost as 15k armor."
Oh and btw, I dont like grinding and yet im prepared to grind to max them out. Dont assume that everyone who supports the way pve only skills work, like grinding. No one likes grinding, but some people accept that some things should require work to achieve, especally considering 95% of the content is just given to us easily.

Yeah. It's not a movie, it's a game.
When you buy a movie, or a book, you get the full content, and maybe some easter eggs in the DVD tracks, but in a gae, you pay 'access to the content'. Once you have access to the content, you have to go through it.

Should we call the game "Grindhouse" instead? Well i have no prob with grinding, it's not mandatory anyway.
