AB event suggestion
Simple suggestion:
Alliance Battles
DROPS! - when you kill somebody there is a *small* chance of them dropping a random item (eg ale). Small chance as there are a large number of kills per game. And a bonus chance of item for winning the game also.
Bonus is there as an incentive to win the game and not just aimlessly abuse the system.
Alternative - instead of an item dropping, get a collectible that you can trade for an item (eg a hat).
Pro - discourages leeching, as players can only get drops by running around killing things.
Con - This will impact play due to some characters running for a drop instead of maybe chasing down an opponent.
- Already have faction rewards and titles, perhaps drops not required.

If the drops are assigned, this could be fun. But I can just see AB screeching to a halt as everyone jumps on a creme brulee.

This encourages fighting in AB, when capping is what you should be mainly doing. Instead of people capping, they'll be fighting for drops, and ignoring fights/caps to collect their drops. More of a negative impace then a positive, so no thanks.

Deinitely /signed on that idea. Say, 20 faction gain per shrine cap imo, might enourage more people to cap rather than run straight into the enemy mob.

Yeah, the team that cap the most points should get a reward or something. New kurzick players just don't have a clue on how to cap anymore.
Infact someone should write an idiot guide to AB.

Only if npc's where the only ones to drop things and they can only be picked up if your faction controls the point they dropped in, that way people will actually go to shines and stay to cap them.
amazing how many people in AB scream to cap a shrine then as soon as the foes are dead they run of to the next one and leave it.

As long as the drops are 'created' and not dropped from the killed character inventory, and there is an unclaimed items box.
And more importantly, the drops should be usable by PvP characters, and never give any kind of combat advantage. Namely Tournament tokes, zaishen keys, and most of the time, Alcohol and Sugar.
Items could drop when things happen... like... the enemy died from spike, the enmy was under 4 or more conditions, the enemy was under 6 or more hexes, etc...
