The cool kind of emotes
I think there should be emotes that you actuclly use with ANOTHER person, for example u could do the tango with another char and stuff like that
I think this is a good idea but this might be too complex for gw to handle

As you mentioned to complex. If you want to dance with someone just sit there and type /dance for both characters. They won't do it together but meh, it's not needed and too complex.

I wish there was an emote that allowed your character to "give the finger" that would be nice to flip people off, although you know it would be abused

Neeeh, people already use /dance, guitar, /rock and things like that to simulate obscene acts in game. Better not give them anything else.
Plus... two or more characters interacting would be a hell of a lot of effort to get right. They'd have to make sure it works regardless of character size, height, armor, etc. It'd look weird on hills.
And all for an emote people would stop doing after a week or so because the novelty's worn off and it's hard to line up with your partner.

I was actually thinking this exact thing earlier this week. One way they could do it would be to make a lead and a follow dancing pattern.
For example, someone types in /ballroomlead and they face their partners face, the other person types in /ballroomfollow. Two independant animations, but when the players synch time wise and they are used together they synch the characters movements. People already do complicated synchs just at parties for fun, why not expand the concept so that partners can actually dance together?
