From all the bitching and moaning about not being albe to use heroes and henchies everywhere this would be a nice change once inawhile to get people back together again. I think Heroes were bad for the game myself even though I do enjoy their power they just made finding groups and pugs that much harder because more people began to rely on heroes than on each other. So, let's have a No Heroes and No Henchies weekend.

Translation: let's have a "how deserted will GW look in 2 years?" weekend.

So you want a weekend where a lot of people won't play? Like a lot of people have already said before, if heroes were taken out of the game people wouldn't start pugging, they would just quit.

It would be nice to be able to find seven friends, who all want to do the same thing, online at once. The "suck less" comment was totally unecessary, and I certainly wouldn't want to team up with anyone that has that attitude. At least heroes and henchies are more civil.

now before you start flaming me and start going "omg noob " i'm gonna explain why

1. peoples reactions , how i'd like to see how stressed some people would get by this

2.get others to play with other people in game . most nowadays just get heroes and hench and run off to do their dungeons /quests etc. now before you all shout " that's because players suck" and"everyone else is a noob" i'm just gonna say GW is an ONLINE game , you should try play with others , it's a great way of meeting new people and who knows , you may actually have alot of fun ,

that's just my opinion , and my guess is i'm about to get flamed for it :P

Because implementing a weekend of irritation just to see how pissed off players will get is obviously in Anet's best interests. Any player who thinks other people should be forced to play with him so that he can further his own selfish gain is a noob. There are plenty of people already willing to go with a PUG, I know this because I find them all the time when I'm bored playing H/H. You don't need a weekend like this to get willing human help given you actually bother looking for it, and if you actually cared about the social aspect of the game you would know that. But for all your altruistic talk, people like you don't support the average player so much as laugh about how much fun you get out of frustrating them as your post proves.

I never have 7 friends on at the same time, and pugs are weak. And as far as sucking less, it doesnt matter how good you are, if the rest of the party sucks, you will still die, and the party will still fail. Some of us have played for close to or over 2 yrs. We have played with pugs, with henches and with H/H. You know why h/h is prefered? Because if you fail its your fault not the retard warrior in beginers armor "Cause I am saving for 15k" or the monk with shit for healing. I dont mind losing when i screwed up. But when some jack ass puke stained water headed syphlitic retard does it for me, I tend to get pissy and bitch alot.

Ah the joys of thread necromancy, and of the worst idea in the history of the game to boot. On some distant level, though, I wish they WOULD do this, just to show all the "OMG HEROZ RUINED TEH GAME" idiots how empty the game would get without them.

Unfortunately for Anet, I think a signficant percentage of those they chased off for the weekend wouldn't ever come back. I know *I* wouldn't.

Says the guy that's so hard up for anyone to play with his scrubby ass that he's trying to get AI removed from the game.

It's not exactly a good comment on any of the people that supported this idea. If you need AI to be removed from the game to get people to play with you, maybe the problem isn't the AI, it's you.

I think it's a great idea. Who cares if they'd be empty, I could go to Lion's Arch district 1 in the english servers all by myself and go..."YEAH! I CLAIM THIS TOWN IN THE NAME OF ME!"

Honestly, I hate heroes and henchmen. I love playing with people more. When heroes were included into the game, I hated t. I still love Guild Wars but I mostly just play PvP. PvE bores the hell out of me because only a few guildies do anything with me. I went on an infusion run for a friend about 10 minutes ago, picked up some random person for free. Made the run way more fun, someone else to talk to.

How is pugging more fun if pretty much everone is running the retarted obsidian tank?

pick up the drops the dudes dropped
flee when the dude dont tank for any reason
