Well if they added a time limit you could rejoin RA after mapping out it could reduce it. Maybe 5 minutes. Would also help with the regualr griefers.

To all you retards posting some uber witty comments, plz read the effing OP and not just the thread title.

This is an exploit, not a serious one, but still an exploit, and all exploits need to be fixed.

GWGuru rules prohibit the displaying of character names that aren't your own, whether in screenshots or typed.

You can apologise to the OP for calling him a wuss now...

I'm quite sure that that only aplies to screenshots that are meant to be used against a person. If you just want to show a funny situation (without someone being made fun of), I'm sure noone will care if their name apears.

The Koreans have been doing this since day 1 of the game. It's nothing new. And honestly, it's really not THAT abuseable. I mean, yes, you're using the mechanics to your advantage, but it's common sense how it works. I know that I've timed up my pressing of enter with friends before, just because sometimes you dont' want TA, but you don't want RA at the same time.

And, why would not allowing people from the same guild/alliance not play with eachother be a good thing? I mean, some alliances are really big, and many guilds are. I've been in guilds where I have a group of friends in it, but I don't know 75% of the members...

I agree with the OP that this is a annoying little exploit.. shame is that it is nothing more then that, an annoying "little" exploit..

And making sure people from the same guild/alliance cannot join eachother won't work for obvious reasons (leaving and rejoining guilds (which I find plain stupid btw)). I could use this exploit to make teams with friends (who are not guidlies) but what good would that do me? None.. If I like to play another balanced team, i'd hang out at the TA..

So, with all that cleared, the OP is not a wuss, is completely right, but shouldn't worry about these petty things (owh, and next time, choose your thread title carefully.. this might upset the admins into thinking it is a really really dumb suggestion ^^)

P.S. It would be nice if people indeed read the thread before they reply... (that goes for the whole forum )

Ah, so this is nothing more than getting beaten in RA, and now we're back to the old "Anet is an evil corrupt company that is ripping us off. I'm not buying another GW game so they'll go bankrupt."

Grow up.

If you pvp, you will lose. As a matter of fact, exactly 50% of people who pvp in RA will lose. Is this the great new exploit that is destroying your game experience? No. Not only that, but this is an extremly old tactic. It was used in FA to bring in 2 shadowform assassins to gank the Kurzick NPCs. It was used in RA before Factions released, probably since launch.

And this was only the first time you encountered it? This is why they don't fix it. It doesn't matter. Out of thousands of matches played daily, it happens once. It's irrelevant.

But above all, I do hope that this didn't happen after you had already won 10 consecutive matches.

And I mentioned smurf guilds since the proposed simple solution is so easily countered, that it doesn't solve anything.

The only purpose i find to RA is to unlock TA and to test new build.
If you're not happy then just rage quit like most ppl do.

A simple fix would be to pool everyone in all American districts waiting to enter a battle for RA / AB (in each zone, obviously) rather than split them up into seperate regions.

Likewise for International, and all foreign zones.

That way, (take USA for example) if you're waiting for an RA battle to start, it will search EVERYONE in the USA districts for partners, rather than only in that district.

OR, just prohibit the addition of districts in Random Arenas and Alliance Battles. Just increase the map capacity to 10,000 players on each side so when you're looking for a group, it's much easier. -- Also, in order for that to work well, they'd need to add some sort of LFG Search function with a large menu displaying all classes / notation of the players build.

RA isn't good for anything anyway but testing builds or playing a monk character to hold the entire team up. If you don't like sync playing people, then sorry to say but go to team arenas and actually make a good team.

It's true that these players have an unfair advantage. However, I doubt very much that the contents of this thread have suggested anything that will solve the problem. It's mainly borderline flames/rants. With the exception of a few that is.

I would also hope that this didn't happen after you won 10 consecutive matches.

lol @ Shifting's last sentence.

But yes, I agree, insulting posters or a.net is not the best way to defend an idea. I agree with the idea of fixing this, but how could it be done? I really can't see any way to fix that.

Agreed, you're either:

A)A monk,flasher,shock warrior,assassin farming faction
B)Testing a build
C)A Newb learning to pvp
D)A nOOb

This would only affect a and d. A good category a person would woop ass anywyas, and honestly who cares about d

Is it bad?

Anyway the topic is not RA but this issue the OP pointed.

It's a problem, yes, but not a major one. There's no real way to fix it anyway, and besides, ANET probably doesn't care to much about RA.

If you're serious about getting glad points, get them in TA.

I'm sorry to the OP and those agreeing with him that such things happen. It's a shame, and I'm sure, quite irritating. Sadly, I think it's true that they'll never really be able to fix such things ... the whole "build a better mousetrap ..." argument. It's just in some peoples' natures to work the system. Always will be.

But, thank you ....

Thanks to the OP for a title that cracked me up and thanks to the, well let's just say, "fascinating" people that responded only to his/her thread title. I haven't laughed so hard reading a forum in a long time.

Cheers,
Luny

Your problem here with wanting it to be fixed is it just plain and simply cannot. you can slow it down impede it but you will never stop it. Its like the never ending battle with hackers or Anets never ending battle with farmers. You can do all you want to slow but it will not stop as long as their is a want for it.

that being said i think there is 2 pathetic groups here you and them.

them for doing that

and you for bitching about it.

if this was happening everymatch i could see the system needs some serious work. but its not its barely happening. if you don't like it i sujjest you go play a team game that way no one is better off than anyone else. easy way to solve your problem.

ENOUGH SAID!
