Skipping...cutscenes.
It's rather tedious and annoying when you're forced to watch a cutscene because someone is AFK during the cutscene, or just won't skip. If you skip, you should automatically continue to the next loading screen, while everyone else is just a gray bar and you just wait until they show up. Would make things for the player easier, rather than being forced to watch those dreadfully long cutscenes because 1 out of 8 people won't skip.
Also, you can't talk! Give us an option to use chat while in a cutscene. I get whispers, but I can't reply or see who they're from because of the damn cutscene. Then they wonder where I'm at, if I'm even there, then end up logging out because they think I'm AFK. Nah, I was just forced to watch a really long cutscene.
VERIFICATION ON THE CONFUSION:
Just so you know, I am not suggesting that one person skips, all of you skip. I am merely asking that if you hit the skip button, you advance into the game. Those who are still watching the cutscene, will watch the cutscene. You will be in a completely different dimension so you can't advance through the mission, especially if it's over. This is just so you can get access to your chat. If it's really a big deal, can we add the options of having a clickable chat window? Click it on and off on the cutscene itself so we can see whispers, guild chat, alliance chat, etc being passed back and forth and not miss out because someone hasn't seen the long cutscenes you've seen three or four times.

You know if chat was implemented for cutscenes there'd be nothing but "Skip" "Skip" "OMFG SKIP U NUBZ" etc.
Still... it'd be kinda nice. I always felt bad when 7/8 voted to skip but I was somewhere new.

Believe it or not, there are people who actually want to see the cut scenes during the missions because it's their first time through the mission and they want to see the storyline unfold. You may have gone through the mission hundreds of times and know what happens, and may even know the exact length of time that the cut scene takes, so why not use the time to stretch your legs or get something to drink......take a quick break away from the computer screen and do your health some good.

when your character has completed the whole campaign, there should be an npc that you can go to so that you may watch all the cut scenes whenever you like (or is there already one)
/sign for the idea of whoever skip goes to the next screen first.

Nah, would be kinda annoying having to go venture of to another NPC if your new just to play the cinematic, makes the place seem not so friendly to new players...

As far as I'm aware, there are no cut scene npc's in prophecies, and none of the cut scene npc's show cut scenes from within the missions (they only show the scenes from the start and the end of the mission).

You do realise there is absolutely no difference between you skipping and then sitting around in the instance while someone else watches the cutscene, compared to actually watching the cutscene? Its all the same amount of time!
Secondly what if 7 of you skip and your all sat there and the 8th guy isnt moving! How do you know their watching the cutscene, afk or just stuck?
Thirdly what if the mission is timed? You all cancel except 3 people and then have to wait for them, while the timer has started! Not a good thing.
However; if its a cutscane for after the mission I would /sign that idea. I hate finishing a mission and then having to watch a 3 minute cutscene when you could just leave.
I would also sign at talking while the cut scene is on, because if its 2-3 minutes long you can miss large conversations or wispers or you can tell people to please skip.
They could also add the ability to replay all cutscenes like you do GWEN, from an NPC. That would mean people dont miss out on anything if they skip.

Not much difference to nothing but "CAP CAP CAP" or "OMG dont mob" in AB then?

Why the chat? If you could skip through scenes individually, then there's no need for a chat during cutscenes.

Giving the option to chat in cut scene, yes. Giving the option to play while others want to watch the cut scene, no. It's selfish. If someone want to watch it, let them watch it. If you dont want to watch it, do the mission with heroes or friends that you know they will skip. You can not just go on and when the one who did not skip finish the cut scene and appear in the middle of nowhere.
That mean I would /sign half

Opens up opportunity for greifing. ie "lets go aggro that mob over there while the noob/survivor is watching the cutscene."

You should just assume that if you're going into a mission with a PUG that you're going to be watching cutscenes. Otherwise just take h/h or guildies.
And definitely NO CHAT during cutscenes. No one should have the power to ruin the storyline experience for someone else.
And really, they're only a couple of minutes long. Just keep a magazine out or something...

I can see everyone's point in here. Another idea would be that if one person skips the scene, it skips for everyone. But then people would get mad because I know lots who like to watch them.
I agree you should at least be able to chat during them, and that if you click skip you do, but to prevent aggroing mobs like someone said while someone is watching the movie, your movement would be prevented until everyone was loaded. Just an idea.

i don't think this would work...currently Cutscenes are in real-time thus why you can see minions attacking crap in the background if you have an MM.
Also the players of a team are directly linked to the cutscene. The leader of the party is usually the one doing most of the talking in a cutscene and if they skip while another party member doesn't, how would that work out?
Many cutscenes also move or teleport your character to different locations, it would have an adverse effect if you were to move around, teleport and attempt to do something while the cutscene rolls

I never liked the cutscenes... I watched a couple during my first play, but when most people would skip it, I'd skip it too and would watch them later on. At the end I was tired of them and skipped everything I could. I didn't like the storyline and I found the voice acting downright horrible... hasn't changed much today, TBH.
At least, let's be able to chat in it. I guess this could be enabled through the Options, something like...
When you skip a cutscene:
[ ] A black screen and your chat box
[ ] The cutscene and your chat box (for those who still appreciate the cutscenes but want to chat or something too)
[ ] Your next location in GW with access to inventory, chat and such tabs, but your movements, enemy patrols/triggers and skills are disabled until everyone has finished watching the cutscene.

As long as:
- They add a way to replay all cutscenes inall campaigns. ALL OF THEM.
- The chat isn't shown until you hit the chat key (default ~), to prevent letters appearing unless you want to see them.
