Yes of course! Because PvPers are so superior to us and need their very own exclusive chest!

If people want to buy and sell the keys.. Then let them. To sell the keys is their own decision.. Same with buying them.
I don't see why you would have a problem with this unless you just hate the "PvE noobs" so much you don't want them to be able to open a chest or get any rewards...

Players that get the PvP editions have the right to sell them to buy Guild Hall NPCs.

Water Angel needs to stop being PvP elitist and let us PvErs get the keys for a chance at the chest too

instead of making them automatically customized, make it so that you can customize it yourself for a few gold. doing so will make the chest always drop a req 9 rare item that your character can use (for example, my ranger will get a bow, my warrior a sword/axe/hammer, etc). down side to that is that the item will automatically be customized to your character.
that way, the keys would truly benefit everyone. it will destroy the rare item economy, but GW wasn't supposed to have much of an economy to begin with, so who cares.

This is a really bad idea. Both PvE and PvP players can get what they want with the current system, but with your suggestion, nobody wins. Why not allow PvP players to trade Balthazar faction for gold if PvE players want to give it to them?

No, I'd rather get money for my keys instead of opening a crap chest to get crap items.

I'd have to agree with the whole "it's just pve noobs that /sign"
This would effectively nerf the only way for hardcore PvP players to get money. We'd rather have the 5k-or-whatever-it-is, than a gold for a PvE character we rarely use.

By the way, for those of you that resent the "pve noob"
The reason that term is thrown around, is because all PvE teaches you is C + Spacebar w/heroes n henchies
I've rolled thru every campaign using this tactic on at least one character. PvP you have to use actual tactics. PvP, there are no aggro bubbles (except NPCs in GvG, but you vs. NPC isn't PvP anyway, so, that can be disregarded).
To round this post out: It takes actual game smarts and ability to succeed at PvP, whereas, it takes little to succeed at PvE.

It's only all it teaches you if it's all the effort you're willing to put into PvE, in which case, you shouldn't even BE in PvE.

Basically, if you can win with such a simple tactic, what point is there to do more? C + Space = Result X and Difficult Tactic = Result X, what's the point of complicating something to gain nothing extra?

Well, you're going to HAVE to do more in high-end (DoA, Urgoz, Deep, Slavers, etc) PvE. Easy normal mode missions is to PvE as RA is to PvP.
