Perhaps the reason this is not in the game yet is because of how complex players are suggesting it need be? Couldn't the vault simply be a place to unload your UNWANTED goods so that fellow guildmates who may have the benefit of using that Sword Pommel of Enchanting that you can't even sell to the merchant???

And speaking of merchants... what about some to put in guild hall that RETAINS items sold to them. This could be the best/easiest solution to storing materials while still protecting them

Ideally, it would be best if:
A) The storage be buyable/earnable for the guild so that fly-by-nighter Guild Leaders won't be as readily able to abuse the function.
B) The storage be upgradeable/customizeable to provide both low and high security storage.
C) Items inserted into guild storage become protected from abuse somehow (tagged/retrievable/undestroyable/undroppable/etc)

However if these complications are preventing what should be a relatively simple upgrade... then please, by all means...

JUST GIVE US THE BOX! Please!

What would be the point in a storage that a whole guild can access? So someone can "borrow" your fellblade for mission? Or hold your customised armour for a while. There is no point.
We need personal storage not something that can be abused in so many ways. (see above post)

To eliminate problems of roberry, make sure that only the GL can use the money and that he can only use it to buy the following:

New Cape
Sigil
NPCs
Other Guild related junk

Even a normal storage without limitations would be great
If you can't trust people in your guild, they don't deserve to be in the guild

Anyone belonging to a decent tight knit guild will sign off on this.
As was said, it can be used to deposit excess crafting items for guild members. I wouldnt go as far as putting gold in the storage, but i can see the use of guild wide storage.
I constantly sell of crafting material because if i already have the 250 limit in my storage, what am i gonna do with it? But if i had a guild storage spot to dump that stuff into for other guildies who may need it in the future, why not? i dont get that much gold from it ... just as well give it to a guildie.

/signed for guild storage
/notsigned for allowing it to store gold

It would be nice to have a communal place to store dyes, tomes, crafting materials and any weapons. 'tis sad that I can't just hand out the password for my second account to guildies to have that as a storage without fear of it getting banned.

KoL does something like this with their clan stashes. Everyone in your clan (basically, a guild) can contribute to the stash, but the leader(s) can limit what's taken out and by whom with a point system. Put some crap in? 10 points. A nice weapon? 150 points or so. Then, from your accumulated points, you can take things out. The amount of points you can spend in a day is limited by the leader.

I'd love to see a stash like this. Very useful for trading materials and things. Done right, it would be difficult to screw up unless you have one hell of a crappy guild leader.
