Fix rune prices
Okay so it used to be that gold (superior) runes were worth way more than blue and purple combined. Yet with one update, they're worth the same amount, sometimes even less. Now really, how much sense does that make? None if you ask me. Why would you pay extra for a gold rune yet if you went to sell it, get as much out of it as a blue or purple one? I'm only referring to the selling prices, not the buying ones. Example:
That makes no sense. Now yes, some gold runes (like superior vigor) sell for more than that, but I had a rune of minor vigor (blue) go for 1k at the trader, so that's more than both of those golds combined. It makes no sense. What does everyone else think? I think the rune system should be put back to normal.

Yawn....is there any part of the game you don't think should be 'fixed'?
/endsarcasm
Trader prices are based on supply and demand. The fact that the prices are low is because the merchants have been inundated with runes from players. When the supply from the players drops, the merchants pay more for them. Would you complain about low rune prices if you were buying runes to equip your heroes, or new sets of armours?

Just out of interest, did you press "request quote" to find out what they'd actually pay you for the runes? Sometimes there can be quite a difference between the "last paid" and "request quote" figure.
Also, minor runes are worth more (to players as well) because they carry no penalty. I use minors on all of my heroes where I can as it means I don't have to worry about them taking a health hit from a major attribute rune. Superior Vigors are a bit of a waste of time these days as a) Major runes give less of a health hit than they used to and b) if the health hit from a superior attribute rune bothers you just slap a Major Vigor and a Vitae rune on, you'll get the same benefit as from a sup vig but lose one rune slot. Not a big deal really.

Saraphim has a point. I've noticed this, that a rune trader gives an initial quote of 10g which jumps to 25g on request.

You're totally right! Though I don't want it to go back as it was, with some monk runes way over 20-30k. But it's ridiculous to see that most of the runes are worth 10g...

Eh... that's not the minimum. The minimm is 25 gold. 25% of the minimum buy price.
Additionally, if you identify them, you'll get at least 26 gold from blue ones, and more than 100gold from the gold ones.
But if you want to get cash from runes, see the prices before salvaging, and :
* If you use superior kits, salvage only those that can be bought for the price of the item that holds the rune +100 gold.
-For example, if a gold armor it's worth 400gold, you should sell the rune whey they can be bought for 500gold or more.
* If you use perfect kits, salvage only when the buy price is just higher than the price of the item:
- For example, if a purple armor it's worth 250 gold, you should salvage and sell the rune if they can be bought for 250gold or more.
And no wonder they are low.
Lately I sell all runes I find, excepting the Vigor ones.
With the sole exception of Vigor runes, I don't store them for use with my heroes, when I need to use a hero, I go to the trader, buy the runes, and apply them.
And with Vigor runes, I use them right away with the most used hero without that rune.
We don't have storage to hoard runes for later use, so it's better to use the trader the way it was meant to be used.
(That's why we need weapon upgrade traders too)
Althought that it's true that the minimun price it's a bit too low.
For all trader items, the minimum 'sell to trader' price should be HALF the minim 'buy from trader' price.
Buy 100g, sell 50 gold.
Buy 800gold, sell 400 gold.
That is currently apllied to scrolls, but that should be applied to dyes, upgrades and even materials.

Prices droped once ID kits were able to select what they salvaged. Thus materials were no longer accidentally salvaged. If you wanted the rune, you got the rune. No more random bad luck getting 30 cloth instead of that superior vigor rune.
Supply and demand took prices down from there.

Look on the bright side, there's (nearly) always a cheap (usually major) rune to do what you want and there's only a handful of runes for which it is worthwhile to use the Expert Salvage and go to the rune trader, most can go to the merchant unsalvaged.

I see it more like this:
change the minimum price
minor 100g
major 500g
superior 1k
This way i am finaly happy when i find an gold armor. And this way we dont mess with the high priced runes.

Then enjoy that your runes and insigs will cost near nothing
For the OP: Supply and demand dictate the prices.

Superior Runes aren't necessarily superior...so I don't see why it should be like that...

Learn what supply and demand is, then it should make sense to you.

Did you get some terrible runes and want to make money off them?
'cuz that's what it seems like.
