Right then, firslty I want to say; No, this isn't some huge mega suggestion for the character select screen to have inventory options, storage access or anything like that.

As some of the longer playing GW fans will know, the character select screen changes it's surrounding area's graphical package whenever a new GW1 game is about to be released. Now, sadly I'm not one of those long time players, I've only been around for 14-15 months, and the character screen I had when I joined was the one advertising Nightfall.

But wouldn't it be cool if you had the option to switch from the current GW:EN Character screen theme to say, the factions one, or the prophecies one, just at the click of the mouse? It wouldn't change anything about the game, no possible exploits or anything, just the look of your character select screen. It cold be done by pressing F11 (Options) in character screen or else-where in the game, and just having a drop down menu somewhere in one of the tabs with the game titles as the graphics names. (Prophecies, factions, ect).

I think it would be fairly easy to do, and if aNet wanted to they could just put the option on the UI while in the character screen instead. Because I know first hand that the mist on the GW:EN screen can be annoying for those with graphics cards that aren't very good. With my old computer the mist wasn't very clear at all, and it obstructed my character models. (Not that I have a problem with this now anyway, since I have a new computer, but for those who can't get one)

I'm not 100% sure on how the older graphics looked before the NF one, but I hunted on google a little and found ones that look like it could be them.

Anyway, for those that would like to see what the older screens looked like a bit here they are:

And yeah, like... I've never seen the prophecies one but I think I would quite like it, as I like Ascalonian building style and such.

EDIT: Also feel free to take whatever pictures you wish, the first 2 are from Google and the last 2 are mine, so whatever, lol.

Those aren't correct? The Prophecies one was all of your characters in front of a campsite. The one you posted as Prophecies was in fact the Factions screen, and your Factions one is just an in-game screenshot!

Jeez....this suggestion comes up so often I've lost count......please use the search function on this forum and read through the previous threads asking for this, including the reason Gaile gave for why they can't do it....

Alright, well as I said I was around when the fist 2 were out, but the Nightfall one is infact the character screen, I took it myself.

If you would like another as proof, I'd be happy to show one. I have many, and others can vouch for me.

If anyone has a Prophecies character screen, I would appreciate it if you could post a link to it, thank you.

Hey..yeah i came into it when Factions was around..and i like to take screenschots and the Podium thing was so cool....but i'd like to see the prophecies one with my characters..

I thought of this idea myself a few weeks back but never said anything.

Besides, I think Anet said that the different character select screens had different features and technologies behind them. Apparently it's not so easy to do as we'd like it to be

I would like the old campfire back too, just don't think it's going to happen

Also, I realise that the first character screen could only have a certain amount of characters on it at one time, and this thread isn't me asking for it back (As I never even saw it).

But like, character select screens themed on the 3 campaigns and the EotN expansion.
