Auto Assign Manually Dropped Items - Simple Scam Fix
Very Basic Change:
"Whenever a player drops an item(s) that was already in thier inventory it becomes auto-assigned to themselves"
This would be very useful for accidental drops or the old recall scam.
your thoughts?

This is one thing that doesn't need fixing.
You drop it, it's there for the taking.
It's quite hard to accidentally drop something, and the scam thing is just a lesson learned for those trying to profit from a scam (not the scammers, the item owners, greed gets better of them, but only once).

Dumb people will suffer for doing dumb things, regardless of what it is. There's no reason to cushion someone from that kind of fall, when it takes x to the tenth stupidity to actually trip on it.
Not to mention this would dissapoint a lot of people who get nothing in groups, and wouldn't be able to pick up things that the more gifted indivdual drops to clear his inventory.

This is defintely NOT NEEDED as a change. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to assign an item that a player has dropped purposely.

To give things to uther, people use the trade, usually, the only reason to drop things is not enoough space in the inventory.

As Mithran said, I (and others) often drop stuff onto the ground whenever your bag is full. If somebody else picks it up... well I want that to happen. I'm not going to get it myself.

Umm... I disagree. How can you learn without consequences? Besides, if you have a gold perfect destroyer shield or whatever, and someone takes you outside and wants to see it on the ground, and Returns to you and picks it up, you deserve to lose it.
Basically, don't be retarded, and there's no need for this thread.

People ignorant enough to drop an item in an explorable with a complete stranger deserve to get scammed. In fact, most scams happen because people are ignorant, so it really is their fault. Getting scammed teaches people to be less ignorant.

Yea, if even the dumbest player in the game had the Recall enchantment on them, there's no way they'd even drop 1g

You accidentally drop your item? OR you drop your item for showing off? Wow, You know sometimes I just drop my item so anyone can take. This would be super annoying as you HAVE to open trade in order to give someone something.

Its possible to accidentally drop a precious weapon. I often have my inventory open, and, with the help of a big mob and much visual effects, could have a lag spike. Then my cursor may move on the inventory and I could pick an item and drop it on the floor.
I would like a lock feature on items. Locked items would be impossible to remove from inventory, until you see a special NPC (say an enchanter) that would have the ability to lock/unlock those especially rare items worth 100k+xx (thus not supposed to be on the floor, nor beeing sold for 214g to a merchant )
One day i double clicked on an item to equip it. Too bad it was on merchant pannel, it was sold
