More Fluent Connection Between EotN and Proph
Please, please, please create an explorable area between Yak's and the Central Transfer Chamber but only for those who have reached CTC of course.

Why don't you just map travel there?

I'd say let it be an option for players to get from Prophecies to Eye of the North without beating Eye of the North. The penalty is having to get to Yak's bend, which when you think about it, most foreign characters can't. I doubt a lot of players spend their time exploring Prophecies. There's no reward to it unlike Factions and Nightfall.

there is a reward to exploring Factions and Nightfall? And not like its hard for foreign characters to get to yaks...they can solo fight their way there if they didn't take the noob way and get ferried.

You get in-game greens for both campaigns and Nightfall awards free treasure. I completely forgot about that until today. I had two characters go to the chests, I've made over 50k in cash, plus 16 gold items. I'm not complaining at all. I need to get my assassin through.

There's the Desert/Desolation bridge between Nightfall and Prophecies, since the two continents are physically connected. I also agree that there should be some sort of physical bridge to the Far Shiverpeaks, and not just a mission connector. Make it only applicable to people with Prophecies and GW:EN, and accessible from Iron Horse Mine or Traveler's Vale.

You know the central transfer chamber is underground, right?
If you meant an underground bridge...well, you can. LA -> Crevasse -> run to Asura gate. Voila, you're in EotN.

I'd be more in favor of a bridge between Northern Shiverpeaks and the Boreal Station.

Yeah. There could be a door there, accessible once you reach the Transfer chamber, so people can run around there in 8-man parties, like happens with the Crystal Desert.

Would be pretty cool, as it gives some feeling of continuity throughout the whole Tyrian continent whereas it feels like two different "sections" in its current state. But I think the likelihood of Anet having enough resources to pull off a relatively significant addition to the game at this phase is pretty slim.

Significant? No!
1. Allow access to one of the Mian transfer camber portals. Adding one or adding a path to any of the existing ones would do.
2. Go to the Iron Horse mine map, to the Nort-eastern corner. There is a place to add the exit of the portal. They just have to add a apathway to the unreachable side there. Add the portal, and a Dwarf that let you in if you have bee in the chamber before (if not, it tells you that the gate is closed due to the Destroyers)
And done! A way opens!

A plain, new explorable area seems quite...pointless. Maybe a dungeon or something, but not just an explorable area.

No, no! There is no need for new areas! The Asura gates can TELEPORT, remember!
It would just be a direct link between two areas!

I'm still waiting to hear a reason WHY they should do this. Easy access to end game area of GW:EN?

No, no! The access should be just like the one in the desert! You can use it only if you have been already there!
The main reason to do this is to add a way to make 8-member parties in the Northern Shiverpeaks region.
You can already do that if you walk all the way from Ruins of Morah to the desert.
And from the Temple of the Ages.
It would just be a bit funny 'hey, it's connected' and a reward for purchasing GW:EN and Prophecies, like the other portal when you purchase Prophecies+Nightfall.

It would be kind of nice to have this sort of linear connection between two places on the same continent. It seems like we should be able to walk anywhere in the game from any other place in the game if you really wanted to.
More kind of a sentimental request I suppose.

Absolutely and 100%. I was totally kidding (ok not totally). But wow did NOT expect to spark this kind of feedback. Good comments all around.
Oh and Prophecies does have a bit of new life breathed back into because of the HM title track. Too bad they nerfed solo and duo farming drops.
My initial post was really from a role playing perspective. I know people tend to forget but this is a fantasy game. For the sake of getting lost in the imagination of the game, I thought it would make sense that you could "tunnel" out of the Chamber and, woah, find yourself at Yak's Bend.
And it would be easy for them to deny access to the Chamber if you A) do not have EotN and B) have not finished the expansion. The three campaigns are FULL of explorable areas available only under certain circumstances so the idea that it would be a free for all is just silly.
I DO agree that a dungeon would be a more beneficial and interesting connector than just some outside path.
The "why do this?" has been explained a few times: logic. Kind of kills the suspension of disbelief that you can't get to the "new" far northern parts of the Shiverpeaks from the "middle" parts.

Logic? In a fantasy game? In that case what is the logic behind people dying? Why is Gwen's mom in the Underworld? Why wasn't she just Rebirthed? How do people call meteors out of the sky to hit an enemy, but not their team? There is very little logic in the game.
Making an area to connect 2 games is not something the game needs. Someone who owns Nightfall and GW:EN or Factions and GW:EN, but NOT Prophecies would be confused by this. "Why does this region have a gate I can't go through?" People who do have both Prophecies and GW:EN would find glitches to ferry people to the CTC and beat GW:EN without doing any other quests.
Although the 'exploits' could be prevented, it would be a LOT of work for the devs to go through. The only reason I have heard why this would be done is for 'logic'. If you can't get into the CTC before getting there through the story, why have that option anyway? You can map travel there, so there isn't a 'need' for it. It would probably change both, or at least one of the 2 games mapping titles. GW:EN doesn't have a Cartopgraphy title, but the mapping does count towards the Eye of the North Mastery title. Adding a new area means those numbers have to change, and I don't think people who don't own Prophecies would be happy to not get the points for Eye of the North Mastery, and the people who don't own GW:EN wouldn't like not getting GMC Tyria.

This is a silly idea, with little thought to what it would cause in the game, and the amount of work required to make it happen.
