Even if the grind isnt done away with at least give an option for non grind. Such as access to them if you complete the game. (The storyline)

What a lot of people dont realise is that Anet was being a bit more realistic when they added the need for rank 5.
Concider their other options..
1) Just require gold and materials and no rank.
2) Ask you to complete the game firt then you get GWEN armor.
...now either of those options would have a direct impact on how long you play GWEN for before getting bored or having no insentive to continue.
Whether we like it or not, the rank 5 requirement has added a HUGE insentive to keep playing. Otherwise the population in GWs would slowly dwindle a lot faster.
Anet has done us a favour in a way!

I'm no fan of grind, but getting to rank 5 in EotN is relatively easy.

/notsigned for one the people who farmed there way to r5 would flame also r5 is nothing because you can get it almost off a HM handbook which is no trouble if you want the armor that badly.

It really isnt.
Its the grind in the game that stops me making a new char and stops me wanting to play current chars.
Do you know what is a good incentive?
Good gameplay.
You dont need to dangle a carrot infront of people if you make playing the game fun. And I must say before all the grind it was fun.
For me the grind that has been added has only made me play less.

But what is your missing if you dont have rank 5? Five new armor or weapons sets out of around 20+ which already exist!
Yes its nice to get new armor and I would never argue otherwise (not conidering I got Norn elite armor during the weekend preview when you needed a much higher rank), but concidering there are a lot of other elite armors to choose from, you cant really argue your having a HUGE chunk of gameplay removed.
If you cant get GWEN max armor yet.. then go get something else until you can or as an alternative. I would love to get Obsideon armor but I dont have the time or patience, but I dont complain about it and ask they remove the ecto requirement. I accept there is a requirement there I will never fill and live with it.
You still have dungeons, quests, exploration, other titles and loads of other content in GWEN to keep you playing.
Amor and weapons are only 5% of all the content in GWEN!

I have, and I agree the game is far to easy currently in terms of skill. To much is being based on grind.
However even after beating it im not at R5 in all my rep titles. Plus I would need to do all that extra grind for each new char. I have no problem doing something skill based but grind only gets worse.

Well your argument centers around that this armor is content and should be accessible to you.
It is accessible to you, just as its accessible to me. We do the same thing, reach rank 5.
However, the factor im trying to figure is wether prestige armor even appeals to you. As I've said before, this game appeals to many player types and theres different content for the different playing styles.
I personally wouldn't argue for any changes in DOA to make it more accessible, since I don't go there, it doesn't appeal to me, and I couldn't give a RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO about it. It's content...yes...and its accessible to me and other players via the same standard.
I'm not going to go demand changes to a system designed for another player type because it doesn't appeal to me.
So do you plan to buy any GWEN prestige armors?

No thats not my argument at all.
My "argument" is to either remove the grind based access or add a way to access it through something skill based as well/instead.

No, thats what you WANT.
The reasoning behind it (from what ive gathered from your posts)
is that, prestige armor is content and content should be accessible (i totally agree).

There is such ways.
Grind comes when the fastest way is to make the same thing again and again, like doing farming the Snowman lair for dwarven, but you can fill books and make dungeons, and vanquish areas, and you will get to rank 5 in no time.

I thought the purpose of the R5 req to buy armor was as an anti-ebayer system.
No point e-baying gold when even if you have it you can't buy the armor.
Am I the only person that thinks this? If not, do you think it works?
rank 5 in one title track = finish game, trade in book.
Which do you prefer? Players e-baying gold or getting runs through the final mission for the armor, or making people actually work a little to get the armor?

I apologise if this sounds like calling you a lier, Im not! But how are you not at rank 5 on all (if not most) races by the end of the game.
When I finished on my ele in GWEN, I was rank 7 Norn (admittadly from the preview weekend), rank 5 drawf and rank 4 Ausura and Vanguard.
It only took me a few bounty runs AND paying to have my quest and dungeon booked filled in the once to meet the rest!
I appreciate its not always the same for everyone and I wouldn't expect people to have the exact playing experience. But it really isnt hard to get rank 5 on an individual character for all races in GWEN by the time you finish!
