Get rid of random boss spawns
Okay for the past TWO HOURS I have been trying to capture ONE elite skill, and the only place to get it is one of the three missions in Crystal Desert. And every single time, I end up dead. And don't start the crap that I suck or I'm noob, I had 3 friends with me and they had the same thing. In fact, they died before I did.
It's one thing to die if you're going after a boss and you know where it will be. But it's downright annoying to get killed and not even know where the boss is. All bosses should spawn in the same place like in Cantha and Elona. No more of this random spawn crap. It's uber annoying.

This is the only thing that makes skill hunter even a tiny bit challenging, every aspect of the game can't be tailored to your liking.
Who hasn't gone to cap a boss who didn't appear? Get over it and try again.
Also, the crystal desert bosses are the easiest ones anyway, how exactly are you dieing during those missions?

Well, there isn't much other choices what to call you. Similar would go for your friends.
And I think we can agree 3 threads are enough for this month.

Maybe you can have all of them spawn at the same time in the same location.

See, I'd /sign the suggestion if it wasn't for this comment.
There isn't a place to PUT some of the bosses then. This is especially true of the Ring of Fire (ie, during GW's development "oh crud, we ran out of places to put this cool new elite skill we just thought of... umm... stick it somewhere on RoF").
Non-randomizing the boss spawns was universally seen as positive when they did it with Factions.

Some areas have more bosses then locations. It's not going to happen. Even if there were enough locations for every boss, I don't really think it should be changed. It doesn't kill you to explore an explorable area.

That would be a site that you can use to look up the location of all the elite skills. Yes in prophecies the bosses are not set but that is because there are so many elite skills to cap there. If you don't get him to spawn take a break and try again later. They eventually spawn but it takes patience. So /notsigned

The elites in the Crystal Desert missions are ALWAYS available, EVERY trip, in 2 of the 3 missions. Elona Reach and Thirsty River has all 6 bosses spawn EVERY time. Thirsty River even has them spawn in the exact same places. Elona Reach has them spawn in various locations, but there are only 6 places, its just random which of the bosses spawns at each spot.
There are a few bosses that do not always spawn. They are an annoyance when they don't spawn on multiple trips. Its a part of the game, and I think it makes the title more fun. If you are dying in the desert missions, there are other problems, and you need some build help. But do Elona Reach or Thirsty River and be gauranteed the boss will spawn.

/signed only if they make enough new spawn locations to fit all unique bosses needed to supply the same elite skills in that area.

[wiki]Custodian Phebus[/wiki] should always spawn in the same location, [wiki]Custodian Jenus[/wiki] shares six spawning points with 5 other bosses.
You'll celebrate random boss spawns even more when you're going after something like [wiki]Feast of Corruption[/wiki], [wiki]Practiced Stance[/wiki], [wiki]Shield of Judgment[/wiki], [wiki]Well of Power[/wiki] or [wiki]Glyph of Energy[/wiki].
Good luck, if you need help, pm me ingame.

First of all, as some have said, just do Thirsty River for the desert elites.
Second, many of the boss spawns can't be changed.
Third, what kind of skillbar are you running? I haven't had trouble with the desert missions since before Factions and that was only when I tried doing them with henchmen.

Sorry, but if you're dying in the Crystal Desert for 2 hours, yeah, you kind of do suck.

If you're dying in the Crystal Desert missions, you either suck, are a noob, or both.
So, basically, the only random boss spawn that might fall under the category of "difficult" is Maw the Mountainheart, or whatever he's called (the Feast of Corruption dude).
Basically

TBH the only random spawn I have a problem with is the one in Abbaddon's Mouth mission. Sometimes all 3 bossess spawn, sometimes only two (unless they fixed this) - and I almost always end up with two when I'm going after a cap - yes the one that doesn't show up is the one I want
The caps in Crystal Desert are predictable and easy - cap in thirsty and you WILL be able to get your skill, all that is needed is a mm and a nuker hero. There is no time limit to this mission, no ghost to be saved/healed.

I'm not particularly fond of going through Hell's Precipice 7 times to cap an elite (our party wiped once right in front of the boss I needed to cap) but that's part of the challenge. Plus then you would have to get rid of some of the bosses that are in the game to accommodate it. However, if we have this elite capturing system in GW2, I really hope the spawns aren't random.
Also, just do Thirsty River. You're guaranteed to get the boss you need.
