Some green drops for Prophecies
I came up with a few green drops that would be nice to see in the game.
Glint could drop a green sword called Dragonfang. This sword could have the fiery dragon skin as its color. Or maybe an icy dragon sword...
Dragonfang
Energy -5
15% damage increase
Fire damage
Health +30
Galrath... now the Villainy of Galrath... everybody loves that quest! I do of course. But this quest is by far one of the hardest quests before ascension.
So, we should have Galrath drop an axe called Villainy.
Villainy
15% more damage when above 50%
Vampiric Axe aft
+30 health
(edited this weapon as two afts are not possible)
Then many people think that Prince Rurik should also drop one. So here's some ideas:
Rurik's Blade (has to be the fiery dragon sword)
15% more damage while above 50% health
+5 armor
Rurik's Aegis (umm.. don't know which skin to choose)
Health +30
-5 physical damage (20%)
Then the Lich as the endgame boss should drop a necromancer staff. I'm thinking that this staff should look somewhat similar to the Scepter of Orr.
Fragment of Orr
20% chance to halve recharge time
20% chance to cast death magic spells faster
+5 energy
+30 health

/signed so long as they change Galrath's weapon to a sword... considering the fact that there is already a skill called Galrath Slash... even though he doesn't use it or use a sword. o.O

The Demon Hell Staff wouldn't be viable as Prophecies has no Soul Reaping spells.
And a trump card? That'd be an interesting shield, unless it should just be titled that not literally a playing card...

True, now that I think about it with Soul Reaping. Perhaps it would be better off as Blood Magic since the Lich likes to use Unholy Feast.
The Trump Card would be the name. A trump card is the item or idea to completely turn something upside-down or in one's favor. In this case, this shield stops a good amount of physical damage through armor increases.
I just have a very vivid imagination when it comes to weapons, armor or anything. I hope you're listening ANet... :P

I'll go for give green items to every single boss with Elite skill and equal or higher than 20.
(And for making Hard mode bosses drop perfect versions of their greens in Shing Jea and Istan)

Don't you think so. In Prophcies, that start's from the Crystal Desert, and the Bosses could share the greens if they share builds or elites:
- One for Mesmer Forgotten ones.
- One for Ranger Enchanted.
- One for Elementalist Mursaat.
- One for Warrior Trolls.
- One for Maw, the Mountain Heart (This guy NEEDS a REALLY GOOD green item)
- One for all the Eidolon bosses.
- One for each avicara boss with elite (there are only 6).
For Example, Markis would be the only one White mantle Boss that could drop a green item, the rest have no elites.
There are no so much. Bosses get no elite in hard mode, and in Prophecies they usually start to get Elites over level 24.

Why not as endgame weps?
Being transported to Droks is disappointing. You would expect to get a Green by entering the door of kamali[sp?]

I thought the Door of Komalie was closed once you kill the Lich Lord.

Seriously, greens can't be that hard to program unless they have a unique skin. Would be a nice way to revamp certain areas of the game for a while.

A possible End-game map would be either in Droknar's Forge or aboard that big ship you can see docked in that same town.
I'll go for Droknar's Forge Victory party. with al the allies there, and the greens would be items like:
- Rurik's Sword.
- Rurik's Shield (Strenght).
- Brechnar's Iron Hamer.
- Hablion's Axe
- Hablion's Shield (Tactic)
- Saidra's Bow
- Shadow's Bow
- Shinning Blade/Orrian Staves, Wands and Foci.
- Shinning Blade Spear
- Crystal Scythe.
- Ascalonian Daggers

Better think of worthwhile places for those greens to drop. And not be instantly overfarmed in huge quantities. In Prophecies most greens have their place - in Sorrow's Furnace. It was greens done the right way - unique rewards for teamplay (originally), pretty rare, valuable and hard to overfarm.
One of the worst Anet's moves was going Factions style with greens in all subsequent GW releases - giving perfect green weapons to common bosses wandering just around the corner on explorable areas, easy to reach, close to outpost entrances, just waiting to be killed repeately 20++ times per hour.
Maw the Mountain Heart - this is The guy that deserves a hot green! He can be encouneted randomly in various locations or always in one hard to reach spot. I can't see a build able to run to him and be able to kill him solo fast and consistently.
Other than that, greens belong to dungeon-like areas. I love the DoA approach, with having big bosses or specific unique mobs found near the end of every DoA area have a chance of dropping some green goodies, their droprates seem very well balanced, they're pretty rare, but thanks to overabundance of other perfect greens/golds they're cheap aswell.
If they added a green drop to the Lich or Rurik or a random boss wandering around an explorable, it would become worthless in no time. Hell's Precipice is easy and fast to just run to the cinematic right at the bosses, killing them is a cake too. Overfarmability = no coolness.

Yup.
More importantly, I would keep greens OUT of missions. In Factions some bosses may drop green items during missions, I think that should be avoided.
So Markis, you lose your green item sorry. And the Only Eidolon dropping a green would be the one in Mineral Springs... yeah... THAT ONE behind the imps, XD. For the Eidolon it would be nice to have an Energy Storage or Water focus looking like the Eidolon's tentacles.
They could also relate the chances of dropping with the spawn point. A boss that spawns just near a door would have 1% green drop rate, but if you walk all the way to the furtherst point (like the most annoying spawn points in Perdition Rock) would have 10% drop rate.

/signed except for Galrath getting greens.
/notsigned for Galrath
Whatever the green, people will want to farm it. However since Galrath is a quest spawned boss, people who have already finished the quest miss out. However the people too new, or too lazy, to of completed the quest get to farm it. So in essence it's rewarding people for being lazy, while pissing off anyone who completed it.
Not to mention that it rewards people for leaving a quest incomplete.
