Another BMP? YES PLZ!
Okay, so somewhere down the line, im sure we're ALL expecting/hoping for a bmp #2, and that it is advertised properly and all this time.
So, I have a few ideas about what the next BMP should be:
1.Grenth's overthrow of Dhuum (Favorite)
2.Beginning or any of the Great Corsair Wars
3.Abbadon's Exile
4.The Exodus of the Gods due to King Doric's plea (Favorite)
5.Start of the Scarab Plague
6.Abbadon gifting powers to Jadoth to defeat the Forgotten armies (Favorite)
7.Lord Ordan discovering how to enter the Rift and opening up the portals to the HoH (Favorite)
All of these could work in some way, but my favorites are #1, #4, #6, and #7 because all of these have a definite "hero figure" that a player could be.
I also think that anet lacks alot of in-depth God lore, and that a BMP centered around the Gods would not only make the game a bit deeper, but be wickedly fun.
Can you say GOD SKILLS FTW?! And no, not lame-o false mursaat god skills, i mean the real stuff. For example, playing as a margonite (Jadoth) might be pretty awesome, and give us an idea of early margonite society.
Possible Rewards for the missions that are my favorite from that list:
For #1 id say ghostly/eternal weapons (remake for the older ones)- there are currently no ghostly/eternal scythes, dagger, spears, wands, offhands, or bows in existence. Mursaat hornbows and hammers existed before the first BMP, why cant they just remake the old stuff and finally give these other weapons this skin? ^^
For #4, There'd be no definite answer, but Id say a reskin of Ascalonian/presear weapons with improved graphics, that would definitely make me happy. Finally an Ascalon weapon that isn't a generic, ugly, core skin.
For #6... Tormented reskin? I dont know, I like the tormented weapons as they are, and I have very limited ideas on this one.
For #7 I'd like to say chaos remake, but I'm sure most of the community would think that'd be a criminal thing to do. Another idea for this is to make very lavish golden/gem laden weapons
Other Advantages of a 2nd BMP:
~Increased financing for GW2
~Increased financing for gw1 (to fix bugs, maybe improve HoM, etc...)
Note: For a second BMP to be able to have all this and STILL provide anet with a net gain, it would definitely have to be more than $10
Please post what you think about my mission selections, the rewards for them, and how you feel about a second BMP and its potential cost! Thanks!
And PS: The theme behind the BMP I mentioned is obviously "The Gods of Tyria"

I personally didn't buy the first BMP, I can't stand PvE.
I would rather see them attempt to make GW2 better than try to raise funds for it through GW1. The chances they would make money on it aren't 100%, and I feel they should try to make money for GW2 through GW2.

Actually, what he just did there was explain himself.
Just because someone disagrees with you, doesn't mean they are wrong.

My alternate choice is a better use of A-net's time by creating the GW2 Alpha/Beta versus creating this.

/signed for that.
Although, a 2nd BMP would be nice. They could hire a 3rd party team to develop it, and then keep the best staff for GW2 and expansion work.

1) Where did the Oni come from, and what purpose, if any, do they have in Factions at all? (play as Oni)

-The original Guild Wars, the ones before the Charr invasion; Ascalon vs. Kryta!
I wouldn't mind a second BMP released in tandem with the first BMP to retail stores. I can see why they wouldn't want to go through the hassle of physically distributing the first one for such a slim profit, but if they released two BMP's together in stores It would be like a nice little mini expansion they could probably charge $25 or more for.
Albeit, I would sort of have to agree with the other posters in that I wouldn't want them to release a second BMP if it weren't any good, nor for that matter take personale away from GW2 to actually make it any good.

How can you not like PvE?
But I'd rather have them put their efforts into making GW2 a really good team PvE game with awesome replayability like D2.

As long as it doesn't detract from GW2's release schedule, sure, why not?
Further ideas:
- Following Devona's father and company during an operation in the Guild Wars (most of Ascalon's Chosen is barebones mentioned in Prophecies lore)
- Turai's bid for Ascension, firsthand
- Killing Shiro the first time after he killed the Emperor (one of the champions or Vizu)
I also like the ideas that you came up with. Showing why the Desolation exists (Abaddon's Exile), and the creation of the Bloodstones would be beyond awesome.

Don't need to make exactly the same.
Realms of the Gods BMP.
It could be done too.

I'm still mad about paying $30 and then they released it for $5 and it wasn't even worth it to me. I hate solo things...The only good things are the weapons which you can't even sell because they customize.

Are you not signing becuase you don't think it's a good idea, or becuase you personally don't agree with Anets business practices in this matter and don't care one bit what the idea is?

What you said^^
Now that anet has already done something like this, I see a second BMP marketing and sale going over much more smoothly. I myself don't agree with how they handled the first one, but I very much enjoyed the BMP. It was fun to play as central characters, have uniquely defined skills, and admire the programming.
I personally would like to see more of this, and fyi, a second BMP wouldn't HAVE to be all solo depending on what event(s) are picked (Corsair Wars, Scarab Plague)

Do you have the receipt that shows you actually paid $30 for the BMP?

GW1 is at the end edge of it. Nothing need to be done anymore. Keep it like this and change skills around till GW2 come out.
Btw, I don't want to pay more. kthxbye!
