Definitely. Everyone already uses the smiley punctuation, such as ":P" and "" so why not have the chat engine turn them into little pictures. Preferably in the colour of the channel though, so it doesn't stand out too much.

if the option is added you can TURN THEM OFF like the emotes maybe...

but seriously this is a sad suggestion

Yeah.. make it possible to use them, but it you do it more then once per day you get auto-banned for a day or 2.
